by wolffootball37 02-16-2007Lost: March 2007 contest submission. My second attempt at a video. This one is all about our favorite paraplegic John Locke and his tale of the birth death and rebirth of his faith.Writing Your Tragedy
by KiraMarie 05-09-2007Lost: March 2007 contest submission. An entry in the contest, though I'm not sure it exactly fits. Shows how Desmond has to give up the things he loves and overcome his fears and Mr. Widmore's words to become the man he is supposed to be.
The Details
LVI is changing and so are the Lost characters we have grown to love over the last three years. Because of all the hardship they suffered, their journey on the island has changed who they are, for the better or worse. One of the biggest themes of Lost is the concept of Tabula Rasa - clean state. It means everyone has a chance to start over, to be someone different. A drug lord can become a priest, a paraplegic can walk, an unfaithful woman can reconnect with her husband, etc.
For this contest, we ask you to choose one character and show how much the island has changed who they are. Show through your vidding skills what the character was like before the crash and what kind of person he/she has become after their experiences on the island. Try to link specific events to character behavior. We’re not looking for a simple comparison pre and post plane crash - we ask you to link events and behavior. What made the character change? Show us!
As John Locke said, everyone on the island has a chance to start over. Prove it.
