In celebration, here's a song my brother decided to get us during the World Cup '02. It's pretty catchy and cool.
Vindaloo by Fat Les. Don't know if anyone's heard of it, but here.

That was no.1 over here in like 1998? I can't remember the year cos it was so long ago.
Heres another football song that you might of heard of: 3 Lions by Baddiel, Skinner & The Lightning seeds. (I really can't be arsed to upload it onto a website so thats why I gave you the artists' name )
Such a great, catchy song and I heard English footie fans sing it when we won against Equador! Its the best footbal song around IMO. _________________

Hey Elle do you watch Have I Got News For You? Or in fact does anyone from England watch it? The last one before the world cup started had this downright scary video of a new world cup song, England Are Jolly Dee. I'll try and find you a clip... beware, it's hideous. _________________

Aww, Elle, I really liked the song you posted. It's very cute and catchy.
As for Vindaloo, my brother studied abroad there in 2002 and became thoroughly obessed with all things British so he found that song and now we both love it. We had no idea it was THAT old.
Ed, I truly hope the clip you posted was a parody or poor old England will become a laughingstock with that song. _________________

lmao I hate them. God what a joke. Fortunately that is not our official song. The talksport one isn't too bad.
The best footie song is not in fact Football's Coming Home.. it's World in Motion by New Order. That is the greatest one ever. John Barnes rap! _________________

Haven't been here for a few days. Some random comments:
Meandi, I'm sorry that Sweden didn't win, but I'm really really glad, of course, that Germany made it. Hooorray!
No offence meant, PC, but: Damn Italy!! They just didn't deserve it
Portugal - the Netherlands: WTF!!!! What a hilarious match!
Nooooo, I didn't want France to win. Somehow, I've been keeping my fingers crossed for the wrong teams
So it'll be Argentina on Friday. Don't know whether we can win this one. _________________

Yah! I love that show And I just watched the clip.. your right that IS pretty awful. Why do people try and sing when they must know that they cant. I mean they MUST! A friend of mine was going to enter a contest at school last year, and she really couldnt sing. So I told her, and yeah okay she didnt talk to me for about a week but then when her partner went up and sang, she was horrible and everyone laughed! (bless her ) So really I saved my friends social life. And thats why I dont get it when relatives or friends of terrible singers lie to them, thinking they are supporting them, rather then being honest and saving them public humiliation.
Okay that really wasnt on a football topic so... GO ENGLAND! There we go _________________

Hey, you English folks, who do you keep on complaining on Svennis? I'm not pointing this question directly at you guys, but why do the English people hate Svennis so much? Even if he's taken them to a quarterfinal the papers seem to hate every move he takes. I can understand all of the attention that his private life has gotten, but that doesn't mean he can't be a good coach... Anyway, you're getting rid off him after this WC, so... I wish he could take over our team Sweden instead, he's better than the one we have now, Lagerbäck. _________________

None taken, Karolina. I mean I'm rooting for Italy because I'm Italian, but I don't really get hysterical if they don't. Plus, I saw part of the Italian-Australian match and they both looked like they were acting quite ... unkindly to each other. _________________

I'm sure the Aussies got confused which sport they were playing. Have you ever seen a game of Aussie Rules Football?
But the Italians, well, they're just so fiery and emotional, they probably just lost it and got angry in the heat. _________________

Keep your fingers crossed for Germany everyone. I like the Argentinian team a lot and they're quite good this time, but, of course, I'll be cheering for Germany. I sooo hope we'll win. _________________

No no no... I think your mistaken. You spell England like E-N-G-L-A-N-D not G-E-R-M-A-N-Y
Fingers crossed for England's match tomorrow people. I know we can beat em'! _________________
