Episode 1x06: Just Cruisin’

Day 51: Dhaka.

The group had finally gotten to Dhaka after several days of hard work, aswell as a fight with the Marci and their new leader. Nate woke up early to see that they were just a few kilometres away from Dhaka. He looked at the sign – “Three kilometres to Dhaka” it said. After sniggering at the name several more times, he woke the others up.

“Woohoo!” said Aislynn. “America, here we come!”

“Yes.” Replied Colin. “Woop-dee-doo.” He seemed quite upset over something.

“What’s wrong, MovieG…I mean, Colin?” asked Vicky. “Are ya gonna miss us when we leave?”

“No!” snapped Colin. “But you guys completely destroyed my house before we left!”

Nate laughed. “I bet you are just upset we’re leaving.”

“No I’m not! I’ve just got absolutely no idea how to rebuild my house!”

“Sure…” said Aislynn. “Don’t worry, you can come with us.”

“Thanks.” Said Colin.

“We wouldn’t leave someone who missed us behind” she added.

“I’m not upset!!!” repeated Colin. “I’m coming with you because I need to find a new home!”

“Sure…” they all said again, and continued the last steps of their trip to Dhaka.

Colin sighed, knowing he wouldn’t be able to convince these people that he found them all incredibly annoying, and decided to just play along.

But once they had got to Dhaka, it looked like none of them would be going to America at all…

Aislynn stared at a map. “According to this map, there’s a large rock over there, an ugly tree over there, and…ooh, we can get free food from the local deli!”

“There’s a deli here?” asked Colin.

“Umm…well, more like a slaughterhouse.” Sighed Aislynn.

“Okay…” said Vicky slowly. “So we’ve established this city is a hole too, but there is an airport, right?”

Aislynn looked doubtful. She shook her head. Nate looked angry, and jumped onto Colin.

“You said there was an airport here, damn it!”

“Nate, get off him!” cried Aislynn. “He never did know for sure!”

Nate calmed down and started punching the air. Then came a voice…

“You folks need a lift?”

They turned around to see a captain of a large cruise boat. “We’re headed for England!” he said.

“Sorry.” Said Vicky. “But we need to get to America.”

“Wait!” said Colin. “There’d be an airport in England! We could go there first, then to America!”

“Yeah,” Aislynn backed him up. “Besides, I wanna go on a Cruise!” she added childishly. She always had been in touch with her “inner child”.

“Alright.” Said Nate to the captain. “We’ll take four tickets…plus a child’s pass for the pig.”


So they were off, now able to relax on a nice Cruise ship…or so they thought…


Josh Holloway came down the street of Ruh-saku somewhere else in Bangladesh. He was riding a large horse…or a donkey. Either way, he was determined to get to Dhaka. “Which way to the city?” he asked a local man. The man pointed in a direction, and Josh sped up on his horse…or donkey…or was it a zebra?


Aislynn lay on the Cruise Ship happily, relaxing for the first time in days. Next to her was Boone the hog. All of a sudden, Boone began running around frantically. The ship had started moving. He ran over to the edge of the boat.

“Boone!” yelled Aislynn and Vicky.

Boone was sea-sick. He started throwing up over the edge of the large ship, with tourists either staring at him or turning their heads away. Nate was the only one with a grin on his face. “Look at him go!” He said idiotically.

The Captain ran out after stopping the boat. “I’m sorry...but…he’ll have to go. We can’t have him on the Cruise Ship.”

Aislynn looked upset. “Can’t you put him on a separate boat or something?” she said sadly.

The Captain nodded. “I’ll put him on one of the luggage boats. He’ll be in shelter there, and won’t get sea-sick.”

And so Aislynn said goodbye to her pig companion, not to meet him for a long, long time.

“It’s alright.” Said Nate, calming her down. “I’ll help you get over it.” Aislynn looked into Nate’s eyes. He looked into hers.

There was an awkward silence. Aislynn broke it.

“Do you wax your eyebrows?” she asked.

“Umm…maybe…” said Nate sheepishly. Aislynn laughed and stopped staring at him, and Nate did the same. But that wasn’t what Aislynn had really been staring at. Neither had Nate. They both sighed and headed into the bar where Vicky and Colin had gone.
