Anyway, great chapter, Marcus! I LOOOOOOVED the whole Southern boys fighting over me, of course, but I was really laughing at:

Okay, I managed to write it during the busiest day of my week! Yay! Here it is...

The Amazing Adventures of Aislynn

Episode 1x10: Self Serve Room Service.

Day 55: The Boganville Inn.

Aislynn woke up early in the morning. She read the digital clock… It was 6:00 in the morning. Aislynn tried to get some more sleep, but it was useless. She could never go back to sleep once she was up for the day.

Aislynn walked past Vicky’s room, and tiptoed through Paul and Boone’s room, trying not to wake them. Then…

BANG!

“Ow!” said Aislynn. She had slipped on the carpet and smashed face-first into a wall. Literally into it. She looked around. Her head was in the neighbour’s room.

“Oh…” she said, looking at the tired neighbours. “Hello.” She laughed nervously.

The man got up out of bed. He was bald, apart from an ugly rat’s tail at the back of his head. The woman he was with had lots of hair, a little too much if anything. Her hair reached the floor.

After staring at the couple and wondering if the man had given the woman all the rest of his hair, Aislynn got out of her trance and spoke up.

“Err…sorry about that.”

The man started to look angry. His face swelled up red, then green, then purple. It was like a long-lasting gobstopper when it changes colours.

The woman looked at him in the eyes, and he turned into a shade of light blue. “Think calmly…” she said to him slowly.

The man closed his eyes and rested his shoulders. “Calm blue ocean,” he repeated to himself. “Calm…blue…ocean.”

Nate, Josh, Paul, Vicky and Boone had all woken up and were crowding around Aislynn, still stuck in the hole in the wall. Paul and Vicky heaved, trying to pull Aislynn back. Nate and Josh soon joined. After a lot of tugging, Aislynn flew back across the room…

BANG!

She had smashed into another wall. Nobody was in this one apart from an old cleaner lady.

“Excuse me.” Said the lady. “I’m afraid you’ll have to pay for the damage you’ve done to our walls.

Josh poked his finger through a crack in the wall. “What?!?” he asked. “What’s to replace? They’re paper thin!”

“Yeah!” Nate backed him up, and tried to poke a finger through the wall. He couldn’t.

Nate glared at the others, who were staring at him. “Well…” he said. “This part here’s more like cardboard.”

Vicky spoke to the cleaner. “Please, don’t make us pay you!” she pleaded.

“I’m sorry,” said the cleaner. “But that’s the policy we have here.”

“Well…” began Paul. “Maybe we’ll just…run away…like…NOW!” he yelled. He ran for the door. The others stood still for a while.

“Umm…” said Aislynn. “Did he want us to follow him?”

“Oh yeah!” said Nate, and the group ran out while the cleaner just stood there, not knowing what to do. She smiled at the other people who’s wall had been broken. The man threw a lamp at her. “Calm thoughts…” the woman reminded him. The man rolled his eyes as the cleaner lay on the floor injured.


Day 56: On the road again.

“So…” began Josh. “Where are we headed for?”

“I dunno.” Said Aislynn. “What’s the closest road to America?”

“I really doubt there’s just a road.” Said Paul.

“Damn.”

Paul looked around to see exactly where they were. As he turned his head, something fell to the ground. It was a small glass bubble of some kind. The group stared down, then looked up at Paul, who was covering his eye.

“Oh crap!” said Paul. He searched around for the object. “My glass eye!”

“Since when do you have a glass eye?” asked Vicky, amazed.

Paul popped the glass eye back in place, then opened his mouth. “Since my eye was attacked by seven sharks and I had to kill them all with my bare hands.”

Nate looked at Paul, unconvinced. The others did the same.

“Oh, fine!” said Paul. “I got hit by a bus in Poland and my eye got badly injured.”

Josh and Nate sniggered, while Aislynn and Vicky felt sorry for him.

“That sucks.” Said Aislynn. “I once got a bad stomach ache after eating a dim-sim.”

“Yeah…” said Vicky. “Once I got this bad nose bleed and had to go get a tissue to clean it up.”

“Right…” said Paul. “And why are you telling me this?”

“Well, excuse me if our injuries aren’t good enough for you!” laughed Aislynn.

“Man, this is weird…” said Nate. “First a hotel that’s falling apart, now Paul’s falling apart!”

Vicky hit him.

“What?” asked Nate. “I wasn’t insulting him, I’m just stating a fact!”

“You have a brain that’s falling apart.” Said Vicky.

“Anyway…” continued Aislynn. “Where are we gonna go now?”

“Hmm…” said Paul. “There’s an airport at the other end of the islands. We couldn’t get all the way to America, but there’d be a cheap ticket to some place like…say, France?”

“Ooh!” said Vicky, excited. “I can speak French!”

“Really?” asked Aislynn.

“Yeah! Bonjour, bla de crossaint!”

“Umm…that’s not really proper French, is it, Vicky?” asked Nate.

“Well…” said Vicky. “No. But France sounds good, let’s go there!”

So the group were headed for the end of the island they were on. Then on a plane. Then to France. Then somehow they’d have to get to Broadway. They were really going to get a lot of exercise.
