Episode 1x09: The Morning After.

Day 54: The Bialmene Islands

The Group just stood there, early in the morning, still shocked. Nobody had said anything much.

“I hate Dial-Up.” Repeated Aislynn through gritted teeth. Josh put his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. Nate rolled his eyes.

“How can they just…take MovieGuy away from us like that?” said Vicky.

“So we’re calling him MovieGuy again?” asked Nate.

“Well…” said Vicky. “Aren’t you gonna continue insulting Bangladesh?”

Nate couldn’t help but laugh a little bit. “I spose.”

The others began to laugh a little bit, which eased the pain of having lost Colin.

“Let’s just try to forget what happened.” Said Aislynn. “Colin would want it, right?”

“Actually, Potter would probably just want us to cry our eyes out, that attention seeking jerk…” said Nate.

“Nate!” said Paul. “I don’t think you should really call someone who just died a jerk!”

“Well, he’s dead, isn’t he?” replied Nate. The group laughed. Aislynn was right. It would be tough, but they’d have to move on.

“Well,” said Josh. “Shall we go to the town?”

“You mean Boganville?” asked Paul. Nate sniggered childishly.

“I guess so.” Said Aislynn. The group began to walk up to the small town of Boganville. It was not an attractive town. Infact it was incredibly ugly. No wonder the Marci liked the place.

“Hello.” Said a strange man. “You like to buy a squid and onion pie?”

Aislynn grimaced. “Err… perhaps later. Is there a hotel around here?”

A cheeky smile emerged on the man’s face. “Buy squid and I show you.”

“Fine!” said Paul, and exchanged his money for the sloppy squid pie. The man directed them to a dodgy looking hotel, called the “Bogan Inn”.

“Bogan inn?” asked Nate, looking shocked. “No way. Bogan out!” He started to walk off, but Vicky dragged him back.

“It’s for one night only!” she said.

“Oh, alright!” said Nate. “But this place is such a hole!” The others nodded as they walked in.

The rooms weren’t too bad considering they were mostly made out of recycled bags.

“Ooh!” said Paul, excited. “This place isn’t that bad, they’ve got mints on the pillows!”

“Umm…” said Josh. “I think that’s someone’s gum.”

“Oh.” Paul chucked the sticky chewing gum into the bin.

“Hey!” yelled Aislynn. “That’s not a bin!”

“What is it then?” asked Paul, confused.

Aislynn leaned it, and noticed it had some switches on it. “Err…I think it’s an oven!”

“Oh, great!” said Nate sarcastically. “We’ll cook our delicious bogan squid in a bucket!”

“Oh, come on!” said Vicky. “Let’s get our minds off that! Who’s gonna go in which apartments?”

“I’ll go in the room next to Aislynn’s.” said Josh.

“What?!?” Nate fumed. “That’s not fair!”

“Why not?” said Josh.

“Because…” Nate said. “I… I should keep an eye on her, the Marci could be after her!”

“Do you think they could be?” Aislynn asked, in shock.

“Umm…yes!” continued Nate. “I heard one of them plotting to kill you!”

“I think I’d be better at protecting her!” said Josh.

“No.” argued Nate. “You may have muscles, but I have had training in Kung-Fu!” he lied.

“Wow!” said Josh. “I have too! We have a lot in common!”

Nate panicked.

“How ‘bout a duel?” asked Josh.

“Err…” said Nate. He couldn’t do this! He looked at Aislynn. For her he’d do anything. And how hard could it be? “Sure.” He said, confident yet scared.

“3…2…1…Go!” shouted Paul.

Josh charged towards Nate, then kicked him hard in the stomach. Nate tried to fight back in a Chinese manner, remembering he had to do Kung-Fu. He spread his hand out like he had seen on TV, then aimed to punch him in the face. Instead it was more of a poke in the eye.

“Ow!” yelled Josh. “That’s not Kung-Fu!”

“Oh, yes it is!” said Nate. “Don’t be a sore loser! I won, and should protect Aislynn.”

Nate looked around for Aislynn and Vicky. They weren’t there! What had happened to them?


Vicky and Aislynn stood in the room next door. “Gosh,” said Vicky. “They’ve really taken Colin’s death badly!”

“I know!” exclaimed Aislynn. “Just because the Marci got him doesn’t mean they’re gonna kill all us too!”

“Wanna share the room next to me?” asked Vicky.

“Yep.” Said Aislynn.

It's funny, I don't ever notice Megaupload going any slower than ANY other place. That's 'cause the dial-up goes soooo slow on its own. How much slower are we talking about? Like how long will it take for you to download 3MB from Megaupload vs Rapidshare? Just curious...
