So at making me hate the others this show is great . Sets up a bit, but we didn't see anything about back at the camp.

I thought it was a great ep. The openning was awesome! And am I the only one who thought Jack's flashback was good? Probably so. Can't really stand the Skate scene.

Hmm, Indeed I don't understand why people are hating on Jack soo much, basically all flashbacks are boring in my opinion because I love the scenes on the island, however, Jack's flashbacks went along faster than most. Also, there seems to be a lot of emotion and quote Hobbes "feeling" in his flashbacks, I actually found them less of a pain in this episode. Overall, his flashbacks made me pretty sad but I actually like being sad, Im a deep, sensitive person!

Mathew Fox was awesome in this episode, and his character is really in my opinion, growing to be the most interesting of all. (Next to Locke, Desmond, and Eko that is hehe)

My favorite scene in the episode was probably the opening scene ( first five minutes were awesome) or when Jack actually opened the hatch door and it flooded. Underwater... amazing.

I've noticed that The Others are keeping Jack, Sawyer, and Kate in different places , just wondering what the significance of it is. Sawyer and Kate are locked in cages outside while Jack is underwater?!!

In conclusion, I loved this season opener and can't wait for the rest!
(Again I told myself to look away from the T.V. when they showed the trailer for next episode, but failed..... )

I liked Jacks flashbacks, I always do. I think Jack is easily the deepest character. He's had two or three more episodes than anyone else now but there's still plenty we don't know about him, which is great. His flashbacks really help to develop our understanding of him, and why he is the way he is. Also John Terry is ace, so always good to see him

As for the Skate thing I agree. It was tooo sappy, well in a fake way. It was all "ooh look Kate and Sawyer might get together". We know they won't

I really didnt think of it much as a "Skate" scene, but these people who dont know what the hell is going on, finally seeing someone they knew. That was what I thought was cool.


Yeah Im sorry, but I probably wouldve killed her too. You know what I thought was a bit surprising? Jack never once asked "why did you kidnap us?" blatantly. Maybe he was in shock still. And I dont think less of Jack, I think it just makes his character deeper- (although, yeah, totally useless Jack scenes the last like 3 Jack episodes, including "Do No Harm").

I wouldnt trust any of them either, I dont trust ANY of them. I wouldnt say anything to that bitch. Id let her bring in the fod, but thats about it.

[spoiler:7bd220a24e]Here's my take on Jack and Juliet, both together and seperately

I liked Jack's flashback in the premiere. The theme of the show is "Find Yourself" and for some characters, before they can have their "Tabula Rasa" and start over, there are some things they must face. I loved seeing a break in Jack. He's finally starting to face his inner demons, and it's breaking him down. Ultimately, that'll serve to help him in 'starting over' and 'starting fresh' All he ultimately wanted was to know if his wife was happy, and finding the answer, it probably felt like a burden lifted.

The stalking, yes, I know, he was a stalker, but as perfect as some people think of him, I think he's very IMPERFECT, which is great, because it makes the character and show more real. He's a human being, and some human beings do fly off the handle and do things they wouldn't normally do, especially given the certain situation. Yes, he overreacted, but at the same time, this is allowed...he's human.

I love Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet). I loved her in the movie Frequency, and I love her in this show. She's soft but tough, much like Kate, but I can't put any final set in stone things I can say about her. The future judgments I make will have to come from when I see her flashback. Then I can start making decisions about her. You can clearly see that her and Ben are a little bit more of a hostile version of Jack/Locke. It seems they clearly have had their disagreements, but they might have been a bit more...harsh about it for lack of a better phrase. She's kind to Jack, and he did deserve the whack he got after he held something sharp to her throat. I would've punched him too. She was patient, only asked a simple thing from him, and I don't really think she lied to him or manipulated him. I think they do have files on the Losties, and I think they know more than normal strangers would.

Sawyer/Kate

They had BEAUTIFUL chemistry in the premiere. The way Sawyer looked at Kate just made me wanna go "Awwww!!!!", but I restrained myself. Also Kate's reaction to seeing Sawyer made me feel the same way. She looked so visibly relieved to the point of crying to see that someone she cared about was alive, and I'm sure Sawyer felt the same way judging from his reaction. Absolutely beautiful.

Benry

He definitely gave me goosebumps and that's awesome, because I do think that Benry is a creepy character at heart. His looks alone are creepy, but his attitude, voice, and the way he can manipulate just makes it even more so. I'm going to enjoy seeing more of him.

Tom

Oh yeah. He's gay....my gaydar starting beeping. I noticed a change in him from last season. In the jungle, with his fake beard and holding Kate, he had this different sound to his voice, and his attitude itself was different than how he acts now. He talked to Kate a bit more soft, his voice wasn't as rough and manly, and plus the "You're not my type"
Who in their right mind...is gonna turn down Kate? Honestly, she's a gorgeous 20 something brunette, and he's some twisted and plump old guy. Come on. Honestly. *gaydar beeps*


Beginning of the Episode

AWESOME, it was just surreal to see them watching what happened from their little "surburban" neighborhood...it gave me chills up my spine, which I believe is the sign of a good show. If you cry, if you laugh, if you can feel the emotion of the character (I will be honest, I cried when Sarah told Jack "It's not who he is, it's who you're not, and yes, my fiance rolled his eyes and muttered "women") and if it gives you goosebumps, then the show has been good, and the writers have done their job well.

I know some people do complain that "We get more questions than answers" but I like it that way. It's frustrating, yes, I've been frustrated by that, but they do give little snippets of answers that just open up wider gates of questions. I like that, it makes me want to watch more. If you had all the answers, what would be left to watch? That's my take on it anyway.


All in all, awesome episode, and judging by the promo (which can be misleading, but still gave me goosebumps) we're gonna have an excellent episode next week![/spoiler:7bd220a24e]

I didn't like her much at all from the start, but she got better as it went on. Now I think she's an interesting other. Can't wait to see what the hell their motives actually are.

The opening......FAN-FRICKIN'-TASTIC!!!!! Goodwin!!! Ethan!!! I miss them so much! I want to see them again. Ah.... the best part about the opening was that watching the plane crash and the shots of the island and everything, it actually seemed to fit with what we experienced in the beginning of Lost. I like things that have that kind of continuity.

I actually think I'm starting to get used to Ben. Even kind of liking it better than Henry.


I'm starting to like Jack just a little bit better, but now he's totally insane. Maybe that's why I like him a little more, because it actually justifies his jacka$$-ness......

Okay ... let's see. Not sure what and what doesn't constitute as a spoiler so, better to be safe than sorry.

[spoiler:4af1375728]1. Jack's Flashbacks. Didn't think they were THAT boring. In fact, it was interesting to how Jack reacts to other situations. In season 1, he was always the hero (even when he was angry). Here, when he was angry, he was ANGRY. He was paranoid, obsessive, mean, and just plain OUT-OF-CONTROL. Though I can't really blame him. His father could have just said SOMETHING along the lines of denial when Jack was accusing him of sleeping with Sarah. Speaking of Sarah, did anyone just want to smack her across the face when she said at least now Jack would have something to fix? Jack's not even my favorite character and I still would've pitied him enough not to say something totally spiteful like that.
2. So the reason Christian died is really pretty much connected to Jack. Christian had actually stopped drinking and probably wouldn't have resumed it if it weren't for Jack attacking him. Thus he would have never been under the influence when operating, and he wouldn't have lost his license, and never would've gone to Australia to drink himself to death. Now, I get why the Others wanted him! Kate and Sawyer are both murderers, and so is he!
3. The opener was WEIRD! I almost doubted this was LOST. At first, I thought it was a flashback. Then I thought it might be the current outside world seen through Penny (since they played the song Desmond played. I assumed it was the couple's song or something). Then when I realized the plane was breaking up and Henry was giving all those commands to Ethan and Goodwin (how cool was it to see them back!) and was in a total state of awe.
4. Skate! It was too adorable when he gave Kate his fish and when he made her smile. I thought it was A BIT out of character for Sawyer, but nothing too out there. Also, I loved the Sawyer/Tom scene where Tom says "It only took the bear 2 hours to figure it out!"
