If someone does 'The Internet is For Porn' from Avenue Q I will also give them gold stars 4-eva. In fact, I just may do that. Claiming the hell out of that now, if not for this contest, then in general.

Dibs on 'Summer Nights'!! lol That could be hilarious. A story being told from Sawyer and Kate's separate POV's. hehe And Sawyer exaggerating.

OK, I am definitely going to hell now.

avenueqverseone.wmv - 7.43MB

First verse, no effects yet, just lipsynching. Nothing worse in it than the word 'porn,' repeatedly. The rest of the song is much, much worse. I will save the rest of it for the submission!

This won Tony Awards, people.

Nota Bene: Mature content, though like I said, nothing worse than above. For God's sake, the title of the song should be enough warning, heh.

How did I know that you'd post this tonight? hehe I was just waiting to see if you'd start on it. lol I gotta check out your lip syncing. I don't think I'll be able to do it well on mine. Downloading now.

EDIT: Omg, wow! Not only did I find that the song is probably one of the stupidest out there, but it is also hilarious and the lip syncing and clips you used were amazing. I just couldn't stop laughing.

Maybe I need to go make the first verse of mine.

It is a remarkably, gloriously stupid song. I love springing it on people who haven't heard it before. Haha. If you want to hear the whole thing, look for the song title on YouTube. There's a hell of a lot of questionable content in it; fair warning. It's a hard R at least. Bonus points: The girl/puppet's name in the musical who sings the song is 'Kate,' and you'll hear it in the song.

Anyway, I spotted a few 'off' lipsynchs; those'll be fixed, but hopefully it was generally, um, decent. Well, not decent, actually, but you know... !

Yeah, I knew what you mean. And I looked up the lyrics. Truly horrible horrible stuff. I'm not sure if I could watch Sawyer lipsync all of those lyrics. xD

I couldn't resist, and I have no shame. Well, not when it comes to hilariously awful lyrics, anyway.

I was in a crappy production of Grease, in highschool. I played Rizzo. It was totally typecast, as I'm a tomboy with short dark hair, and I sing alto. It was fun, though!

... I, uh, could never play Sandy. I don't have the personality to do the naive innocent act. I didn't even bother trying out for it.

Sounds fun tho! I've never been in a production of Grease, but I certainly wouldn't say no. I think it'd be fun to try out any of the female parts (I had to specify, seeing as I've been in a play and had to do a lead part as a guy for lack of males in our acting class) ...aside from maybe Frenchie. I'm not sure I could do that, but I try to be versatile, seeing as I want to act professionally. my singing...well...let's just say I used to have a lot of potential. Not so much now. I let my voice go.

Well, Frenchie doesn't sing except for ensembles, so you're set there. Can you do the airhead voice? If so, you're also set for Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Bonnie in Anything Goes, amongst others. I can do the voice, but I can't sustain it; my register drops after three or four sentences.

Also played: Sally in 'Cabaret,' Gloria Thorpe in 'Damn Yankees,' and tons of Shakespeare, amongst others.

That's the part I didn't think I'd be able to pull off. I'm not that great with voices. lol I may be able to if I practiced, but I never really have. My friend played Adelhaide in Guys and Dolls, and she was good, that was pretty cool. BUt I dunno if I could.

"Take back youih mink! Take back youih poihls!" Ahem. I've only seen productions, anyway.

I guess Frenchie could sound normal, but having been in one production and having seen two others (movie aside, and I never got to the Broadway revival), I have never seen it done without the airhead voice. If you're a soprano or high mezzo, you may be able to hit the right tone without much effort, though.

As far as not singing a lot, Jan and Marty are largely in ensembles, and Patty doesn't sing at all. Cha-Cha, I'd suggest too, but that's probably too much dancing to take on for any sane person who's not a highly trained dancer.
