I think Jefferson seems like such an important character that it really bums me out he's probably not going to be around much more this season. Not to keep harping on it, but.... He understands all these different worlds so much better than anyone else, I just wonder if they'll be able to get by without him (or even explain his absence adequately).
Maybe they'll surprise me and bring him back for more than the three episodes he was allegedly signed on for.

I think they said that he is going to be involved in more episodes later in the season. I think I heard the word of 6 altogether, but I think their problem was they didn't know if his USA show, Political Animals would be picked up for a second season. So they had to keep that in mind when they were working his character in.

However, news just dropped that Political Animals was cancelled, so I feel that there is a good chance that either by the end of the season he'll be a series regular, because like you said, his character is too important and is mixed up with too many important character's story-lines to just drop him altogether.

This is the first time I've ever really liked Sebastian. I really didn't like his character on Gossip Girl; nor this movie I saw. But I really love his portrayal of Jefferson.

I agree I think he's important. And I'm kind of happy Political Animals got canceled so that he'll be on OUAT more. I'm a selfish viewer.

I thought the problem with Sebastian was that they had to work around his schedule for Captain America 2, which starts shooting in January, if I'm not wrong. But I still think they might manage to get him in a couple more episodes before that! I hope, anyway. Maybe wishful thinking there. He's a really fantastic actor, though - I haven't seen him in Gossip Girl but I've seen quite a few other things he's been in and he's just great.

Oh your right! I completely forgot about CA2. *smacks forehead* well if OUAT gets picked up for season three, then he has a chance to be brought back for a series regular then. Hopefully.

I loved last night's ep! It was really fun to see Jorge Garcia there, lol! And wow, Captain Hook has really grown on me.... He's really not the worst guy around, is he? I'm a little worried that he's gonna come back and be PISSED about what Emma did to him at the end of the episode. She probably shouldn't have made an enemy out of him.

The stuff going on with Aurora and Henry's dreams - weird, right?? Did anyone else catch that the figure Aurora saw in the corner in her dream was male, and the figure Henry saw was female? Could they be seeing each other?

I liked seeing August again in the flashbacks, I always really liked him. I feel awful that he had to do what he did. Poor little Emma!!

If I wasn't in love with Captain Hook before, I totally am now! And I agree with you, Eryn - I totally get why Emma did what she did, but I think he could either be a valuable ally or a dangerous enemy, and I don't think he'll be eager to ally himself with Emma again after this. :/

Very excited to see how this dream connection between Henry and Aurora plays out! :D:D

And man, August and Neal were major dicks in the flashbacks. They shouldn't have hung a 17-year-old girl out to dry like that, I don't care what they're trying to do.

Last night's episode was my favorite so far this season!

I spoiler tagged my Captain Hook thoughts, just to be safe.

[spoiler:be8f1d8ac3]I do love Captain Hook, but I don't totally trust him. All through the episode last night I kept thinking "He's lying. He is going to take that compass and go back to Cora."

Especially after he said that he would align himself with whoever could get him to Storybrooke faster, and technically Cora could get him there faster. All he would have had to do was steal the compass from the girls, and take it back to Cora.[/spoiler:be8f1d8ac3]

That Aurora and Henry dream thing was really weird. I'm kind of excited to see what is going on there.

I was a little confused by the whole August thing because of what he said in the first season, about how he wasn't there for her. Just..I didn't quite get it.

I wasn't really mad at him though, because I didn't really trust Neal. Something just felt off about him...though I do wanna know what is up with August's box.

[spoiler:a90f063e3a]I don't think Hook was lying. I don't know why. The thing is it doesn't matter to him how he gets to Storybrooke as long as he gets there. And in this episode he said the four women are "far safer company" than Cora... I don't know, maybe I'm cutting Hook too much slack, but I don't think he likes Cora much, and he really genuinely seemed to like Emma.

Like, there are two parties trying to get to Storybrooke. Emma and co. have the compass, Cora has the dust from the wardrobe. So Hook would need to steal something from someone no matter who he chooses to ally himself with, so why not go with the people who are just generally more trustworthy?

Hook wants revenge on Rumple for killing the woman he loves, that's it. It's not a great reason to want to go to Storybrooke, I'll grant you that. But revenge for lost love is a better reason than just the desire to bring evil down on your daughter without caring who gets in the way, which as far as I can tell is what Cora wants.

I just haven't seen, so far, all that much evidence that Hook is a "bad guy". I understand why Emma doesn't trust him, and I don't blame her for it - in her position I would be wary too. But as a viewer, I just see a guy who plays by his own rules, you know what I mean? He's not a lawful, "good" guy, but as far as I can tell he does have his own code and set of morals, etc. [/spoiler:a90f063e3a]

Errr, that got a bit long. But those would be my thoughts on Captain Hook.

[spoiler:a479b37298] Oh I get that. I get all of that, and I want so badly to believe him. I love him dearly, I just for some reason, cannot find it in myself to trust him.

Like you said, he would have to steal something from someone, but I think that is the problem I'm having. While it might be easier and safer for him to align himself with Emma and co. It's the fact that he would have to steal something from Cora...that is kind of giving me issues.

With that thought in my head, I see that it would be easier to steal the compass from Emma and co. and align with Cora, because aside from weapons, Emma and co have nothing to really make him fearful, but Cora is some kind of powerful. She's one scary evil woman!

I think that is really the only thing that makes me mistrust him. [/spoiler:a479b37298]

Well..that was a little long

[spoiler:a4978053a7]Idk, that's actually what makes me think he'd ally himself with Emma and co, because Cora's so powerful. I think Hook's kind of scared of her himself. But I dunno, I guess we'll see how it all plays out. [/spoiler:a4978053a7]

I liked this episode alot more than some of the others this season.

Loved all the Lost easter eggs such as the Apollo bar.I also felt like the scene of Emma and Neal at the motel was very similar to when Kate went into the motel room in Born to Run. Also Captain Hook made a comment about 'in this world we are slaves to time' which was very similar to the line'only fools are enslaved by time and space' from Lost's brainwash film.

There was quite a bit of Emma's storyline that reminded me of Kate's storyline. IMO that's not entirely a bad thing since I liked Kate's story.

Great to see Jorge! Looking forward to seeing him again. I liked that he is almost a gentle giant, not just a killer giant. I hope they'll find a way to bring his character to Storybrooke.

I like that Henry is the figure Aurora saw. I was expecting it to be someone like Rumple she saw. Does anyone remember a room like she described being from any classic stories or fairytales?

I thought it was sweet how Snow was being very motherly toward Aurora.

I think Emma was in a lose/lose situation. If she trusted him, I'm fairly certain he would have stolen the compass. But since he now feels she's betrayed him, he will try and steal the compass. At least this way they have a head start.

[spoiler:5e4f1b0f4f]That's the way I see it as well. I don't think Hook feels the girls are any real threat, but he knows Cora is. Although he may want to overthrow Cora and take away some of her power, she has a way of intimidating people. In the long run he may feel safer with Cora because once they return to Storybrooke, they will no longer be on their home turf. He and Cora will both be strangers in away. But in Storybrooke, Emma and Snow have the advantage over him. So would Hook risk the chance that in their homeland they have more power than they do in his homeland?[/spoiler:5e4f1b0f4f]

I loved seeing August again! As soon as I saw Eion's name, I was watching to see when he'd appear. I like that he's been watching out for Emma all this time. I think by getting Neal to leave her, he gave them both a better life. I think together Emma and Neal would never have been able to rise above being theives. But Emma going to prison made her change her life and the guilt of Emma taking the fall for him may have changed Neal's life too.
I feel kind of sorry for August because since he was a little boy he's been tasked with steering Emma's destiny no matter what the cost.
I wonder what was in August's box. I almost wonder if it was some part of Henry's book, possibly a part about who Neal really is.

I was a little disappointed that Neal was the father.Since he was introduced in Broken, I was hoping he was a whole other mysterious character from who Henry's dad was.I did think it was clever how now we know who Henry's father is, yet we still don't actually know because we don't know who Neal's fairytale counterpart is.

That's exactly how I felt too.. basically he's just an old flame of Emma's. He is Henry's father though surely so that's pretty cool but apart from that he's not really a big deal. Don't really think he has a fairytale counterpart as he was in the real world. It's possible I suppose but it would be a big twist that they haven't even hinted at. I thought maybe he was Rumple's son before we found out who he is.

I actually kinda like that Neal is just a regular guy. I haven't completely ruled out the theory that he's Rumple's son yet, but it seems like he's just a regular person. I'm not overly fond of him yet, but I like what they seem to be doing with him. I like that August kept his word and sent him a postcard once the curse was broken. I think it's amazing that Neal appears to have waited this long.....either he really loves Emma or he has ulterior motives.

I'm dying to know what August showed him in the box that was so convincing!

Am I really the only one who's angry at Neal and August for abandoning Emma the way they did? August had no right to come in after leaving Emma alone for 17/18 years and then decide what's best for her. No right at all. I'm so angry at them. I like August, but... Wow, I'm mad at him. He and Neal made major decisions about Emma's life without even talking to her about it. It doesn't sit right with me at all.

And like... Neal isn't just an old flame of Emma's. He's the only person she ever loved. And he betrayed and abandoned her. He's really important to why Emma is the way she is.

I guess I'm also the only one here who doesn't think Hook would've stolen the compass and run back to Cora. I mean, he's going to go back to Cora now, but... I think he genuinely liked Emma. But whatever. I guess I'm too trusting. I mean I know we weren't supposed to be sure if he was lying or not, but I didn't think he was. (And Emma didn't either - "I can't take a chance that I'm wrong about you" implies that she didn't think he was going to betray them.)

Also, we don't know for sure that Neal has a fairytale counterpart. Not everyone does, you know. I kinda hope he doesn't. There are theories floating around that he's Baelfire, but that seems way too coincidental to me and I hope that's not the case.
