I am legit so sad for Carol right now. And Daryl. Losing Sophia is not gonna spell good things for next year... I really thought they'd find her alive!!

This was what I was expecting but it left a lump in my throat, certainly wasn't expecting it to go down like this.

Hurray for Daryl snark calling her a bitch but boo for the sorry straight after. I was hoping for a proper answer when Carol asked him straight out why he cared so much about Sophia..

Shane may need a slap in the head but he was completely right about the barn. Hershel is the one who is bat crazy. He was also right about Sophia. They were risking their lives for one life that is most likely already lost.

WTF was Rick thinking when he was dragging that walker with that crappy dog lead thing? That was never ever going to work.

Loved the chat between Dale and Shane. It felt so poignant for the whole season so far. What would you do just to survive and could you go on living after making those horrible decisions? Shane obviously can. I hope that Rick can calm him the bleep down but he is an important member of the group, like it or not. Maybe they can find some common ground between them on how best to behave..

Rick shooting Sophia harkened back to the very first scene where he killed that little girl. Hell that scene was shocking but this was even worse with her mother wailing in the background.

I have so many feelings right now I can't process everything.

Man, I really didn't think we'd lose Sophia! She's alive and well in the comics And its such a blow to morale not just for Carol and Daryl, but Rick and Carl and Lori, too.

Maggie is made of win <3 <3 love the girl <3 As much as I hate Hershel for his naivety I felt awful for him watching the gang shoot down his family. He believed he could save them even though I think, deep down, he knew it couldn't.

The Shane/Dale thing was interesting for me to watch because I was so worried for both of them, if they fought I dunno who I'd be sadder to lose! as much as its bad for his character, I love when Shane gets pissed off :] And any scene with him and Rick is just perfection They have so much more chemistry than Lori/Rick IMO!

Now I'm just scared as hell for Carol because I don't think she'll be able to handle losing Sophia like that.

Although, as the shock wears off I'm starting to wonder... surely, at the very least, Hershel knew there was a little girl in the barn. Why didn't he tell them just to check that it was Sophia? The barn was locked tight, so I doubt she just wandered in there and joined the gang herself.

I reckon Carol will be okay They showed her almost accept that they had to move on until Daryl made her change her mind. Weirdly I think it will bring them together more.. definetly thinking they are going to put them together in a relationship now.

I love Shane pissed too! I just worry that he is going to do something messed up again and end up dead.

I love how Maggie has got this childlike playfulness to her aswell as her being a badass. When she egged Glenn that was funny and cute.

I'm so freakin' heartbroken

I mean, I was prepared for Sophia being dead... or having become a Walker. But then again I clearly wasn't cause it entirely broke my heart.

Holy sh**, this will have a devastating effect on so many people. Not only Carol and Daryl, but also Rick, Lori and poor lil' Carl.
A part of me agrees with Paul though. I think this may actually bring Carol and Daryl togther. She will be devastated and numb at first but I believe that he can put her back together.

There's so much more I want to say about this episode... how for the first time ever I was rather on Shane's than Rick's side... how much I love Maggie & Glenn and how I want Maggie to go with the group... but I'm with Kat here: I can't quite process all the feelings right now.

And yeah, also agreeing with Kat: Hershel must've known that the little girl they'd found and put in the barn was Sophia. Why didn't he say one freaking word?
