Lol, no, I don't mean they should change the characters now. That wouldn't make sense. I'm just pointing out something that is just painfully obvious to me.
And yeah, Maggie seems like she's definitely going to be a strong female character. Lauren is brilliant at playing those kind of roles |

Yeah I meant in hindsight.. it's just too hard to comprehend a show with different characters as it would completley change the origin of the show. If you were for example to make Rick a girl then big parts of the story would most likely change. Also it's based off the comic books so they had to stay faithful, but I guess that makes the comic book writer the sexist one lol
It's hard for me to have a female perspective sometimes but I do really root for strong female characters. I think that's why I like Maggie so much plus she's not bad looking which helps _________________

I agree about the sexist stuff; but i'm reading the comics and they're ten times worse than the show. All the men are constatntly saying "We need to protect the women" "The women are scared" "The women can't shoot guns", etc. Everytime Walkers attack, Rick or another man yells at a woman to 'get the children!", the women are always cleaning or cooking Its really irritating to me.
Maggie is much more independent in the show than she is in the comic, as is Lori and Carol. I think it'll change over time, at least i hope so There's also a couple more badass chicks in the comic that I hope pop up in the show _________________

Ugh! Oh no How old are the comics?? Are they current? If so that's pretty bad, lol.
It's also pretty strange how much this show appeals to women, so they should sort their act out!!!
Yeah Maggie is awesome. I like the way she stood up to her dad in this ep, telling him she's not a little girl anymore. Hope the more badass chicks make their appearance soon!! |

They're not that old at all, i think they were released in 2003, and they're 'set' in 2004.
Maggie is weird in the comics. She meets Glenn and tells him she'll f**k him almost straight away, and then the following day she's telling her dad that they're in love :S:S I dunno if this is normal comic stuff; but it just reads as a bad story to me at times _________________

Hmmm, also think that's a bad representation of women I like Glenn and Maggie but I don't want them to just be f*** buddies They seemed to have a more meaningful connection in the show; she didn't just sleep with him straight away =P |

I also think it's female empowerment to have her be the one to say "let's have sex!" and to take it so casually because that would be the more typical male role _________________

Yeah I'm glad I saw it on the show before I read it in the comic because I liked it on the show, most of the time the sex in the comics annoys me because its so random and flippant. _________________

Shane looks like Desperate Dan in the comics *random*
Not sure if I will read the comics.. would you recommend them Kat apart from the sexist stuff? _________________

Shane dies at the end of comic 1, so everythign that's happening to him in the show is original. but there is another guy in the comics who kinda becomes Rick's bff so i guess he's like the SHane of the comics.
I'd recommend them but they get a bit tiresome at times. Pages and pages of over explanatory dialogue, random sex, Walker attack, that seems to be the method of all of them. They're a quick read tho, I can read one in a sitting. The show is a hell of a lot better, IMO. _________________

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In all honestly the ep was probably a bit stretched but I expected that with them heading to their mid season finale next week :S Drag shit out as long as they can. But still; i loved the ep!
Shane/ANdrea was so friggin hot! I figured that they would be the pair to get together when i read the release that two characters hook up for the first time, but i didn't expect it to happen the way it did, it was awesome!
and Maggie/Glenn sweetness to balance out all the heat = awesome I love that Maggie told Glenn how important he is and he rest of the camp dont seem to realize it
Poor Lori, I just wanna give her a hug! at least she came clean about shane and the pregnancy, two things i did not expect before the end of the season.
And the promo for next week! Daryl/Carol <3 <3

and a 3 min long sneak peek!

Are Andrea and Shane not the most awesome, badass pairing in like forever or what? I kinda hope they end up going off on their own so we can have them together all the time. Car sex was hot and unexpected! Grabbing a guy's crotch is a sure nice way to foreplay lol
Come on Shane! Don't treat sweet grandpa Dale like that although I am worried they are bringing in the creepy pseudo incestual relationship of Dale/Andrea like you mentioned Kat :S Hopefully Shane and Andrea shagging has put that to bed.
Really liked Maggie sticking up for Glenn. She is totally right. Just because he is small and fast on his feet they think they can use him as walker bait.
I loved the scene at the end between Lori and Rick and how he knew all along. It was really touching how he completely understood where she was coming from.
I do think the last few episodes have been fairly slow paced but it still grips me, what can I say? The dialogue and acting is just so stellar, it doesn't really matter. _________________

They really are so hot! Its only been this past week that ive been really contemplating them as a pair but yeh, this week converted me for sure. Way hotter than Dale/Andrea would have been... no offense to Dale
Forgot to say that I loved when Shane said to Dale "that's the man that I love." when talking about Rick <3 That's bromance confession!! Most fandoms never even get that!!! Thank you, Shane
As far as the story goes we haven't really moved on much from the start of the season, like Sophia's still missing and they havent left the farm, but i agree the acting is so fantastic and the characters are so intruiging that it doesn't matter. _________________

Yeah that was cool about the bromance. It is nice to see a change to the male stereotypes that are usually portrayed. Men do have a really close bond, especially when they are best friends like Rick and Shane. Also they don't usually just accept their partner having an affair. Shows usually milk the drama so it's a nice change to see it play out like that.
I'm still hoping Sophia is dead but I am warming to Carol so it's waning a little _________________
