Hey guys, just dropped in to tell you that I rewatched that season 3 Des scene when he jumped in the water after Charlie. He wakes up, takes the letter out of his pocket, then puts it back in and doesn't do anything else with it before he jumps in. It's definitely soggy. Well, it was at one point... _________________

I just watched this and I don't think I've cried that much since the finale. The Claire/Hurley scene was so heartbreaking. Bless them. I don't think I've ever seen Claire that upset. Her face was enough to make me burst in to tears (though I was already everytime Charlie was mentioned-then again, I cry at child abuse ads on the TV ) I don't really know all my thoughts yet on the episode. I thought it was kinda weird. I felt so sorry for Hurley in his flashforward. Poor dear. And imo, that didn't seem like Charlie that much. It's like he's had a personality change almost. I don't know. But it was good that scene. He was seen by another guy so I don't know if he's another "Dave". Probably not.
I wasn't really disappointed but I was rather upset. It could've been spoilers that put me in a less enthusiastic mood Ah well. I think everyone's reactions were superb (except Sayid and Locke's). But I was happy with Claire and Hurley's-I just wanted to hug them both. And I can't believe Jack cried. I know he cries alot, but I just wasn't expecting him too. And I'm alright with their little talk about the cockpit too. That was actually quite sweet.
You know, I've read and read about this episode and these events from fanfic and so on but when you see it from the actual show you just can't prepare yourself. I am really hoping Charlie will come back alive. I don't want another Boone. |

Jemma,
I bet you would have enjoyed the episode so much more if you knew nothing about it. I was completely spoiler free, so it was great going in not knowing a single thing. So much more enjoyable in my opinion But some people just can't stay away from spoilers I guess.

I personally thought Charlie acted a lot like himself, still joking around and all. And at least he's not like Boone and Shannon, who keep showing up pointlessly in flashbacks. Charlie had a purpose in Hurley's flashforward. I wish Hurley would listen to him though.
I also don't think Charlie is another "Dave" because Hurley isn't the only one to have seen him. You could say the other guy who saw him was crazy, but still... If he wasn't real, only Hurley would have seen him.
I'm sorry you were upset by this episode, Jemma. Hopefully you'll enjoy next week's. _________________

| I know, that's what I think too. It wasn't even my fault, I just went to my flist on LJ and there were all sorts of spoilers and icons made from the premiere. That's how I knew about Charlie showing up when Hurley was outside. Some people are so discourteous. And what really gets to me is that the community those people posted their spoilery icons on strictly state in the rules that you can't post spoilers in the teasers. It's really unfair. I'm not going to avoid the internet just because they're being inconsiderate. Next time I'm gonna try and download it earlier. I'm not even going to use some icons from the episode until some time after it's been aired in England |

*looks guiltily at avatar* Uh... oops.
I'm sorry about all the spoilers on the Internet you saw, Jemma. I really hate that. _________________

Thanks. I was just a bit surprised by his actions. But that could just be because I'm so used to seeing him morbidly depressed now And yeah, I thought before I saw the episode he was the one who started that whole "We have to go back" thing so that was good. |

You're sister said that you said he put it in the boat and I was like "What?? Really? Cool!" cuz I had never noticed it before, so i had to go check...and then I found that he didn't put it in the boat. Sorry about that. Like I said, maybe it has the magical water-proof properties that Sawyer's letter seemed to have. Cuz he had to have had it with him when he got shot, swam in the water a few times, trekked across the island... Maybe paper is made stronger by the island. _________________

In Britain it airs tomorrow. On a school night
And that's alright, Elyse! I like your avi, it made me laugh at the time. But I was confused by i$ cause I hadnt seen it, the one I saw on Livejournal was pretty clear 'cause it was zoomed out on Hurley and Charlie outside so I knew what was going to happen |

Gah I know! I'm probably gonna be hypocritical and let something slip sometime but still, it's only been a couple of nights since it aired and I found myself knowing half of what was going to happen
Especially that Jate scene. That is apparently very popular among the icons of LJ. |

To me it seemed that he was acting more like Dom then like Charlie. Did anyone else get that impression? I don’t know…he just seemed different. I don't know why but it didn't feel like it was the old Charlie talking. He seemed changed, and a little distant. Like when he said.
"Because you would have tried to stop me. And since I was gonna do it anyway I thought I would spare you all the drama."
It just didn't seem like something the old Charlie would have said to his friend who was upset. I would have though that he would have been a little nicer.
I like how they had Charlie start the "we have to go back" thing. I think he started it because CLaire is still on the Island along with everyone else. (unless she was part of the Oceanic 6...I forget who was) _________________ Morgan

Well maybe being dead, changes a person's personality. But I do agree with you all...he seemed different, which was probably the point.
