Question...I have a vid finished, but I want to add some titles to it. I'm trying to get a rippling effect to them, like water. They wouldn't have to move across the screen or anything, they could be stationary, but I wanted them to ripple like water.
Do you have any suggestions on how I could achieve this? Do you know any good programs that could make them or if I could do it in Photoshop?
Any input would be much appreciated.
Or if anyone else has any ideas...please, let me know. I'm desperate. |

LOL
Well, I don't think there is an easy way to do that with any software you have. It could probably be done in one long, tough frame-by-frame animation with Photoshop, which in that case I suggest you talk to Aislynn because she's more Pro than I could ever hope to be in the Frame by Frame animation. Otherwise, your only option I can think of is to go 3D. I may be able to whip something up for you if you need it. I'm not sure how well it will turn out though |

Hmmm...I just skipped the rippling text this time but I might want to use it for something else. Thanx tho. It does seem a little too complex right now. I'll see if maybe I can find a animation program that will do it. |

There's a ripple effect on Vegas. You can probably get one for WMM if you look hard enough too. _________________

I'm using Vegas, where is it? I looked in the media generators, but I only saw moving titles. I only wanted the titles to ripple not the whole clip. |

It's in video effects not media generators. You can apply effects to anything including titles. You will have to know how to animate effects though so this is where it gets complicated :/ _________________

Well, that leaves me out then. It's like I'm working with WMM 1 again. Can't figure out how to DO anything so it's about the same as having no effects at all.
(However, I'm still taking notes... ) |

I was gonna do animation, but I figured using so many moving titles it would take me forever just to get them done. But Thanks, because I may use them in the future.
You should do a animation for Vegas tutorial. I would def read and use |

It's called Wave. If you click video effects on the titles you will see a lil button at the bottom that looks like a big I with a lock on it. If you click it that will turn on animation for everything so make sure you turn it off when youre done. Just select a point in the title timeline and mess with the wave effect to try and make it look like it is moving and keep doing that along the timeline and it will animate it. _________________
