Personally, I dont think it was EVER anything. I think it was an experiment- when I took Psych in high school, we learned about all these experiments about the power of suggestion. I think it was an experiment to see if you tell someone to do something- will they do it without even knowing the real consequences?

Even sadder than that is the fact that Locke thinks him pushing that button for the rest of his life is his divine destiny- NEVER again getting a full night's sleep.

I read in several different places, that when soldiers were placed in stations, they were given a useless function (they didn't know it was useless tho) to occupy their time so they wouldn't go crazy out of boredom. That would explain why it needed to be done every 108 minutes. The only thing is, did they make up the incident? What about the vaccine? I could be just another diversion, ya know, the vaccine could be just water or something else.

Youre not off topic!! This is stuff we should think about. Like I know the writers "wrote themselves into a corner" on some stuff. Maybe the Canadians in the forums can help me BUT:

Kate said she was Canadian right? But her father is a ranger in the USA Army. In his work, a recruiting station, it has the American flag everywhere. Also, if the crime she committed was in Canada, why was a US Marshall after her?

How did Jin beat Michael and Sawyer back to the island? It was an incredible distance to swim, not to mention undercurrents, dangerous animals etc. If he did, why did he not shout or let the others know he was alive and swimming?

Stuff like that. If people think criticizing the show is hating it, its another thing coming.

But F4L- I think youre exactly right!!!

, and I totally agree that there are a lot of inconsistencies in the writing. I suppose they figure they can explain it away with 'it's the island' and nobody will care; like the island is causing all the discrepancies of the script instead of it just being that they didn't do their homework.

I do love the show and I hope next weeks ep will be enough to carry the show through for the rest of the season. Ever since Ep 9, I feel like we're being cheated.

Yeah also Im under fire over at TLC discussion- people are really starting to piss me off- whats the point of having a forum if you cant actually DISCUSS the show? I actually BROKE UP with a guy because he wanted me (seriously, Im not even kidding) to agree with him 100% on EVERYTHING-(this includes politics, movies, music). Im not extremely opinionated but I get like a kid- you tell me I cant do something and Ill want to do it more than ever.

Ah, Taurus and Capricorn are very similar.

Taurus is the bull, capricorn is the goat...we both have hard heads-lol(stubborn and proud of it here) We are both earth signs...no wonder we get along. But yes, we are both strong-willed and like getting our way...and proud of it-lol.

Kate is pretty stubborn...likes to get her own way...does as she pleases. Very possible, KC.

If the promo for next week was misleading in any way, I'm going to be mad

. They did that with Fire and Water. They made you think The Others took the baby when it was Charlie all along. I am not going to believe the previews anymore. I hate when they do that, and it's not the only show they do that with. It's like they are fooling you into watching it. I hate that. So there better be some action with letting the clock run down and nobody better input it at the last second. I'll write an angry old man letter if they do.
