I agree- seeing Locke in post-Helen-coital bliss was bad enough...dont need to hear about HIS needs...ewww...
Yeah still- nothings really happened. And why is everyone SO eager to trust "The Others"? Hello! They snap necks without a second thought.
Yeah it was just strange and random. _________________

LOL? You guys have got to be kidding me ><
SIMPLY,
This was the BEST Season 2 Episode THUS FAR
So funny and entertaining- I knew it was Charlie from the get go, The last episode was kind of a foreshadowing of something like that. And SAWYER? I gotta talk about him, you know why?? BECAUSE HE WAS DIFFERENT!! I Love his new style, the "evilness" in him is totally more exciting to watch. Yes, it shocked me when I found out that he was behind it all BUT STILL. I Love the new Sawyer better- I do feel sorry for MAJOR Sawyer fans tho, this new change may hurt them or not-
I'm beginning to like Sawyer a lot more now....
It seems the Dark Order has been created - Led by Sawyer and Charlie
Just WOW, I totally had a great time watching this episode.. didn't you guys? I'm really interested in seeing the other episodes this season now.
It looks like Season 2 is heading for a brilliant direction. |

I wasnt saying ANYTHING either way Hobbes- I simply ASKED a question. Im just saying that Im not bubbling over with enthusiasm about TLC (not that theres anything wrong with that, to quote Seinfeld). Im just asking. God... _________________

Well it sounded to me like some heavy sarcasm. But really, why is season 2 so much worse? I still like it, we've gotten a few great eps and a few boring but still okay eps just like last season why is this one so much "worse"?? |

Well, I really was asking a question. If I were to use sarcasm, it probably wouldve looked something like this:
"Harp- NO offense, but did you EVEN SEE season 1?"
I was honestly just asking.
I dont think season 2 has been crap- I just dont think theyre taking it where it could GO. I mean we get it- everyone is screwed up, they all have their issues, blah blah. Meanwhile we have a million unexplained things which havent even been touched upon this season. Okay- so we SAW the monster. Big deal. Last nights was just a little out of left field and sort of unecessary...lemme see- Sawyer used to be a con man (gasp!- oh that was covered in #8 & #16 already) and he hates himself & wants others to hate him too -(pretty much covered in every episode, but #8 especially). _________________

i've gotta agree wit RS on this. I think that s1 was way better than this season so far. I've getting very disappointed in Lost this season and don't know if I'm going to watch s3 I didn't really like the whole 'Hatch' thing, thought it would've been better then a computer where you have to punch in the numbers. I think the only good ep so far, well my fav at least, was The Other 48 Days. I just liked the 'old' Lost better, but now, everything is changing. I can see the characters changing drastically in each ep (Sawyer, Charlie, Locke, just to name a few) and I don't really see why. If the season gets better, then hell ya, of course I'll watch it, but the way things are going, i think im going to call it quits. |

I miss the feel of Season One...it does seem like they switched writers. |

Agreed! ^ I am not sure if it is the writers or the people in the editing room to blame, but the thing that really sticks out to me as a difference between Season 1 and Season 2 is the flow of the episodes. Season 2 seems a little more choppy to me with how it transits between flashbacks and island life - ever since "Collision", I've had that problem. Maybe it's just me. That would be my only real complaint on Season Two. Otherwise, I like the questions that have been answered so far and most of the character development. The theme of this season is obviously "Everything happens for a reason", but I hope that "everything", or at least, what occurs this season, isn't packed hurriedly into the remaining 11 episodes or so. _________________

Episodes seem a lot more higgidly piggeldy (new word for the day) than season one. It was like episodes sat better with me back then.
To be fair to this episode the flashbacks correlated to what's going on at the island. That's something I always look for in an episode. I don't think they were very well written though _________________

ug. At least I looked up the writers of this ep before i watched it, so I wasn't too suprised by its failure to impress. The bad writing continues. Last ep they make Locke suddenly violent for no apparent reason, now they twist Sawyer into an evil bastard who does bad things for the sake of being a bad person. please. oh, and once again, nothing happened!
oh well, next week the real writters return to hopefully put this flailing show back on track! I can't wait. _________________

The Long Con was written by the 2 guys who wrote Adrift.
Leonard Dick who also co-wrote
...In Translation
Collision (a.k.a. Old Habits)
The Greater Good (a.k.a. Sides)
and Steven Maeda co-wrote wrote
What Kate Did
not a spectacular resume _________________
