Why is everyone so hostile-like about it?

Probably because a lot of us have been vidding Lost videos like that for over a year now and the rest of the world was amazed by this video because it's the first one it's kind that they've seen.

Just my opinion, though.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just on something because that's the way I always am when I see something only once, and I only saw it from maybe the halfway point to the end of the 1-minute spot... but I thought watching it that they had lots of ideas for clips and stuff that we would have never thought up, not even the best on here. I guess they're just more general about everything. Not to mention the clip quality.....*duh*

Just my opinion though.

To be fair about the clip quality- ABC isnt restricted to MB size on their commercials. I could make killer quality vids too- thats assuming that everyone who wanted to watch mine had 2 or 3 hours to download them

Distress Signal is part;ly right, they did manage to think up a number of ideas we never thought of, like the audio through the radio and the tranceiver. Other things we have used though, (coughLVIOrientationcough ) and a lot of it was just speeding up clips to make them look cool... when you have the original clips I'm sure it's all a LOT easier to do too btw probably a better frame rate that ours for a steadier movement when the clips speed ofr slo down.

This doesn't really bug me, it was fairly well-made and funny. It just bugs me in the way that that Lost Toast person getting an article in the press bugged me we go to all this work for free and do better jobs than the people who made the official video and were paid thousands to do, yet we get no attention whatsoever and if we were, chances are we'd be sued...

Ah well. I knew the song at least!

Amen, Warren! But when you say sued...Yeah, I fear that too. I would like to see them try tho, we really haven't broken any laws. Or have we...I'm not quite sure of how copyright laws work.

I would look it up but ,*points to self* Lazy!!

Downloading eps is illegal.

That is where for entertainment purposes only really looks good in the credits on a vid.

yep, the downloading but they can't really prove that. And anyone can legally use 5 minutes of every hour of footage from a TV show for advertisement purposes, which I think fits for videos especially when we're running... what.... 37 hours now?

Well, it may be illegal BUT:

Season 2 isnt available on DVD yet, so theres no missed profit in downloading them.

No one here is making ANY money off of it. Its just a hobby.\

People have been vidding for years, and most of the time (besides X-Files being total fools about it) no one has a problem with it.
