Yes! Do it!
I found the strangest thing at a browncoat website. It's a "Browncoat Soundtrack" All of these songs recorded for Firefly/Serenity. Lots of covers of the theme song, and a few of The Hero of Canton (A Man They Call Jayne), but some original stuff too.
It's pretty funny, but then I remember that I have made more than a couple Lost videos and I remember my place. Just fan like all the rest. The best one I heard was an adaptation of the theme song sung by a girl with a lovely voice. I'll see if I can find it for you. Still love that icon. Makes me happy! |

I DO realize that I am talking to myself here, but has anyone seen these?

I completely missed out on them! They are so creepy! It's some interesting internet marketing that Joss filmed with Summer before the theatrical release! And very, VERY creepy. I jumped at least TWICE during them. |

Oh, I've seen those! They're so creepy and cool. An awesome marketing technique. _________________

well, I recently took a chance and rented Serenity... loved it! So this weekend i was able to borrow the Firefly set and watch the whole series!
I'm going to agree with KC here.. its better than Lost. Not a perfect show, but really very good. The 2 pilot episodes were my favorites but there were a lot of other good ones.
My favorites were The Train Job, Out of Gas, Ariel, Jaynestown, and especially the pilot eps.
Please tell me they are making more films? ... ? _________________

My current "pet" favorite episode is Safe for some reason. Out of Gas and Objects in Space are my given favs. Then again the pilot rocks too. Oh gosh, they're all so shiny!
E, congratulations, you're now a Browncoat! That's the good news! The bad news is that it comes with a price! Joss says that a sequel is contigent upon DVD sales. So go out and do your Browncoat duty and convert as many people as possible! (Or... just sit around and wish really hard that they make a sequel.) There's a little bit of good news and that is that the actors have all signed on to do two additional movies. So everyone's willing to do it, it's just a matter of getting Universal (ideally) or another studio to financially back it.
The likelihood of there being another series is quite slim, but I'm not discounting anything. Joss is legally allowed to market another series with the same characters on another network other than fox, and Universal, who made the picture, DOES own the Sci Fi network so that's certainly not BAD news. But it looks like Joss would prefer to continue on the big screen if at all possible.
Don't you just love Jayne? I do. He's got all the best lines. Next to Jubal Early of course.
Simon: "So, you're a bounty hunter?"
Jubal: "No, that ain't it at all."
Simon: "Then what are you?"
Jubal: "I'm a bounty hunter." |

"Everything looks good from here...Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... This Land."
"I think we should call it... your grave!"
"Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
"Ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die!"
"Ahh! Oh, God!"
No, I'm not still bitter. Die, Joss, for what you did to me. Why would you think I'm bitter? _________________

ah, thanks for filling me in. walmart.com recently had all their FOX tv sets on sale for 19.99 a while back. I read it on digg.com one day, went to order the next day, and all the dvds were still there... EXCEPT FIREFLY! so, while i didn't get a chance to support the show yet (besides my measly rental) thats a good indication that dvd sales are doing well!

unfortunatly, I didn't see any of the serenity extras. The outtakes on the firefly set were kind of lame... _________________
