Wow good for him. I grew up enjoying Star Wars; I think it's a type of film trilogy that has so much to offer audiences, it has action, science fiction, romance, and a really compelling story.

I personally like the idea of JJ Abrams doing Star Wars because you want someone who can be objective, which I think JJ can be. You have to have someone who's going to make a movie for movie goers not just Star Wars fans, and that's the point of view he had with Star Trek; I'm excited to see him going so far. I know that Whedon wanted to do it but couldn't due to the Avengers; but as a creator I prefer JJ.

I'm skeptical about there being a new Star Wars at all, considering I really hated the newer trilogy, but JJ Abrams does make me feel a LITTLE bit better about the idea.

Hopefully they will just ignore the prequels cause they were terrible. He seems a good fit though.

It was bound to happen I'm just glad it's by someone I know will probably do the film justice.

I wasn't a fan of the last 3 films I thought Revenge of The Sith was probably the better of the three but as a whole I didn't think they needed to be done.
