*big hugs*
This is getting scarier by the minute. It's not 100% comfirmed, and I'm hoping to dear God that these are just horrible rumors but apparently they've closed the Asda 2 minutes down the road from mine, where my mum works :/. I'm not gonnah lie, I've been a little worried/expecting it if they carry on spreading because there's a big, really, really, scruffy council estate over the other side of the main road :/. *prays to God this is isn't true*
edit: OK, GM Police haven't said anything on twitter and there's conflicting stories on facebook and twitter so I'm gonnah take it as hearsay. It doesn't help that all the streetlights are out in our road at the moment, it's so scary and pitch black _________________

Oh my gosh, how scary!!! My husband mentioned something about it but I had no idea how bad it really was. I haven't had the TV on in a few days so I'm totally out of the loop. I am soooo glad you're all ok and that your friends and loved ones are ok, too. Hopefully the authorities are able to get this all under control soon.
(((HUGE HUGS))) everyone!!! _________________

That man is a hero!! An actual hero!!
Some of the pictures/videos that are coming in are really amazing. Really shocking/unbelievable stuff.
This is one that has been circulating a lot, especially on the news. It's of a woman jumping from a burning building in to a crowd of people attempting to catch her:
These are people's homes that are being destroyed. One couple had their home burnt down along with most of their possessions and they had to leave London with just the clothes on their backs
I hope things don't get too bad where you are, Emma! Hopefully it's just rumours, I think there have been a few going around the internet recently :S |

This is isane. I think a lot of people feel they are owed by someone or something. And some can handle it while others just cannot.
I think the reason they're doing it is insane; especially HOW they are going about it. Your upset about justice yet you cause injustice to others? That's just stupid.
The people they're really hurting aren't apart of what's going on. All they are doing is causing an injustice to innocent lives.
And the police; they are people. The guy had a gun; he was told to drop it. He was given a warning and when he didn't do what he was told; they did what they HAD to do for their own lives. |

The riots have stopped in Wolverhampton - at least for today, they might come back tonight - and people are currently congregating in the city centre to clean the place up. I'm hoping this means it's settling here and life can get back to normal soon! _________________

Watching the news and it seems things calmed down a lot in London last night. In West-midlands though apparently some Muslim shop owners were run over trying to protect their businesses.
Also watched them tear down what was left of that 144 year old furniture shop in Croydon. Stood since 1867, survived the war, and now destroyed by a bunch of idiots So sad
I have heard that the police have been given permission to use the water canon, though. And there have been a growing number of Vigilantes, especially in Enfield. A bit dangerous but I feel kinda of happy that people are fighting back against these rioters! |

Oh heck , Emma, that sounds terrifying I'm glad they stayed away from your car though!
Mum's just got back from work, apparently they did close the Asda early last night, but it was just a precaution
It's been chucking it down here all day, so hopefully it'll continue all night because the cowards are unlikely to go out if it does ...They've got us praying for rain in England? Jeesh, this really is bad Tehehe

Ooh really? I hope they do watercannon them if they kick off again. There was some top police man on This Morning talking about how they can use Smart Water in the cannons to help identify and catch the rioters, so that'd be really good. Only thing is, my friend said on twitter she'd heard on the news that we don't have any water cannons left in this country. And those we did have, are all in Northern Ireland! :/ I hope that's not the case.

Oh, some of the family members that owned it were on This Morning too, it was heart breaking. The bloke, I think it was him and his brother that currently owned it, was nearly in tears talking about it It's so awful. _________________

My town *apparently* is getting hit tonight.
I'm away from the town though, so I'll be alright, but still this is just horrible. I thought they'd be hitting the big cities, which they have done, but now it's spreading.
I can't even formulate any words to express how I feel about this. Angry and disgusted I guess would be my main two.
Glad to hear you're okay, Millie and Emma *hugs* keep yourselves safe. _________________

I'm glad you're okay, Amy Was worried about you!
It sounds pretty bad in Birmingham. People have been killed and seriously injured. One man is in a critical condition in hospital and they can't identify him.
I don't know if you guys have seen that shocking video clip of some rioters helping up an injured boy and then robbing him, but I heard he had surgery and also, that was his first week in London!! Imagine that! There's a facebook page for him that was mentioned on the news.
Ugh, they're such idiots. "How many people have they arrested? Like, 5?"
Uhhh actually, it's more like 1000 arrests....
I was watching the news and they were talking to this woman and a reporter asked her if she thought trashing their neighbourhoods was the answer and she responded, rather aggressively "have you got another answer for them???" Uhm, yeah, how about NOT rioting and hurting other people and act like decent human beings. |

It's sickening! mindless violence. I'm glad to hear you guys are okay!
People were trying to encourage riots to start in Glasgow over facebook and all have been arrested. I saw on the news that Strathclyde Police's (the Police from my area of Scotland) tactics are much more effective, I really hope that England takes on their way of handling it to stop this happening again. _________________
