Hey guys, I'm not sure if I can download clips from this site, I haven't found a way to do it, does anyone know how? this is the clip in particular that I need:

Hm, that's embedded flash, I'm not sure if that can be yoinked or not...

If it can be, I hope somebody will tell us how, that would be nice to know!

There's another Sarah Wayne Callie's site that has the embed code, which I am able to grab the FLV link from, but of course that site doesn't have this clip :S:S:S

Lol; its actually for a friend's OC vid, i said I'd make it for her and her OC is played by Sarah Wayne Callies; hence why I need the clips :S

Yup Kate would be right, the link does work, tried it myself.

Hey Kate, could you share how you got the link though? There are sites that have videos like that, that i'd like to download, but couldn't because I couldn't figure out how to. Things I used for youtube didn't work on them.

No tricks, guys: Just looked in the page source.

In this case, I figured out where the mediaplayer was via search: mediaplayer.swf (.swf = Flash player). Then, I found the .flv immediately thereafter, which was the link. The process won't be any different for anything else on that site.

If you can't search, look for the main focus of that site: A table or a div that contains the bulk of the info, such as it does there.

I would encourage both of you (and anyone else using this trick) not to post direct links to .flv files from those sites as a) it eats up the bandwidth of those sites, which are usually run by fans/hobbyists, not by professional people and b) a smart person running those sites can check their referrals, see that all the links are on lostvideo.net, and block us out as an entity. So the less direct linking, the better.
