Hey for all those people who are currently at, or have been, university, I need some advice.
I know its a long way off yet but I need to start thinking about university so...i need all the information I can get.
For a start how many courses do you take? How many points are required to get in? All stuff like that
I tried asking my teachers but they fail at this kind of stuff so I was wondering what your experiences have been like?

I'll try to help, but to be honest I don't really know all that much myself lol I currently take a combined honours course which is like two different subjects made into one course, but you can also just take a single subject course.

At ours, I don't know if its the same everywhere, you have to do six modules altogether. So the combined course has 2 modules from each subject area ( but I guess if you just do a single subject ie. not combined, you take four), and then you have to do a personal development module and an elective. The elective can be anything, theres loads to choose from, like languages for example...or you can choose to do an extra module from the subject...if that makes any sense lol But all the module choosing is only worked out once your actually on the course at the uni, so you don't really have to worry about that when decidng what course to do.

As far as points needed to get in, it totally depends on the university and course you wanna do. If you go onto the ucas website, you can search through all the courses from all uni's and it gives you information about them, as well as how many points you need to get in http://www.ucas.ac.uk/

I would also guess that if you went to open days at the uni's your most interested in they'd be very helpful too, although I'm not really one to talk b/c I never went to any lol

Sorry if thats no use, or if I've just confused you But I think the ucas website will be alot of help, that is, if you haven't already seen it lol

Coolies, glad I could help!

Yeah the ucas website is really helpful, we did all our apllications and stuff through there, but your school/college usually guides you through all that stuff
