We usually have the contests figured out quite a few months in advance but we'll definitely be discussing this idea for the future!

I'll suggest something i've never seen before. A contest with videos focusing on the island and it's view only.

Like you work for a travel agency and your boss tells you to make a travel promo, showing the best places of interest.

We have great scenes from sea, jungle, mountains, statues, hatches bla bla bla. No losties centric. If somes scenes incude losties, they'll be like they are inhabitants or tourists enjoying their holidays.

I haven't made such a video cause i find it hard and i'm not creative with slow music. I even doubt if i would participate in such a contest. I'd rather enjoy your vids if that happens.

I like that idea, but I think it'll be quite hard to focus purely on the island.

Something could be thought of to extend it, maybe how the island has affected one character? For example the island has definitely affected Locke.

Maybe use all those scenes that you named and focus them around the character. Like the hatch for Locke etc...

I think that'll be good with your idea of slow music, maybe instrumental??

We actually did an Island tours one a longgg time ago hehe might be cool to upgrade the idea in some way though.

I think it would be a good idea to go back to our very first vids (if people still have them) back to the days when you weren't so confident with vid making and it was just to show your love for Lost xD
This may work if loads of us still have early videos.

I just looked and I have tons of bronze vids on this site.

but my favorite old vid is one of my first AUs Chapel of Love...its the only happy AU I've ever made...lol

it doesnt matter what rating you got back then because it would be seen in the light of our first videos lol I wonder how many other people won't want to!
