I know what you mean Jemmz its never happened to me but ive seen it on other vids. What i suggest you do is go into Event Pan/Crop and change the preset at the top Widescreen TV aspect or Academy Aspect ratio on the clips causing you the trouble. that should cover - for lack of better term - the borders and stop the flash going outside it ;P

Not sure I understand Both my clips are more or less the same size and I don't really want to change the preset because then the two clips will be a different size to the rest of my video. I don't really know how to explain it :\

ETA-ooh, nvm. I fixed it Thanks for your help ^_^

I actually spoke too soon, sorry. I went to properties and changed the size of the whole vid but it made it so some of my clips were different sizes. It looks fine on Vegas but when you render it looks completely different. lol, can you still help me? Or anyone else? It really puts me off using the "flash" transition

The way I got around it is by adding a png file with borders on a seperate video track over the top, it you get what I mean I'm not very good at explaining lol

heres the file I use: http://www.zshare.net/image/15719017ad2f3c46/

if it don't make sense, just yell and I'll try do some screencaps

Emma's way should work jemmz if you put say a texture on the top video track; it should cover all the clips and keep that flash transition in ;P

That's what I do as well. Or else the flash is really annoying.

i have a question; hope i explain it ok is there a way in Vegas to change the width of a clip? i dont mean cropping it or changing the preset, i mean actually making a clip wider or thiner? Cos i have SPN clips that are thinner than other clips and it looks kinda weird when i manip scenes ;P

oh yeah that's not what i mean tho, lol i can see how similar my questions are now you helped with that one yes

but this time i mean the actual clip. not widening the border but say making someone's face wider/thinner. i can do it in psp, ill get some screencaps of what i mean...

this is the "clip" normally:

i want to know if there is a tool in vegas that can warp the clip so it looks similar to this:

am I making sense? i want to be able to warp the clip as you can if it was a picture

I think there's a tool called bulge or something in the video effects that lets you squash or expand the image.

I've got a problem with the reverse effect: I wanted to reverse a subclip, but instead of reversing just the content of the subclip, Vegas reverses the episode instead, so that in that particular subclip I can see the end of the episode, but not the actual clip.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I remember this happening to me a while ago I think it was the version of Vegas I was using and once they brought out a new update it started working properly again. What version you using?

I'm currently using 7.0b (I went back to using Vegas 7 because I had a bit of trouble with Vegas .
There's a 7.0d or 7.0e version, right? Maybe I should try installing that one.

Thank you, Paul!!!
