LOL yeah they woke up about 10 mins after I posted that. We were out late at a party last night so I guess they were tired. But I was expecting my daughter to be up by 6..haha...I'm glad they let me sleep in though. I was tired. I'm very happy with my presents, the highlights were an ipod touch from my husband and a really nice jacket from my sis-in-law. Sounds like everyone is having a good Christmas. We are about to leave to go to my Grandma's. It should be fun b/c we always play the white elephant game(or nasty Christmas as some people call it.) There are always some good fights.

I've got no idea, honestly. But I think Germany is not the only country which has two christmas days.
You could even say we celebrate christmas on three days: we get presents already on Christmas Eve and the next two days are called Christmas Days.
That means everyone has much time to visit all of their relatives because nobody has to work on these days.
This year was extra exhausting for me - I went to my grandmother's house on sunday where we first celebrated my aunt's birthday on the 23rd and on the next day christmas. The whole family (20 people + pets) was staying there and it kinda reminded me of the beginning of "Home Alone" with all the chaos going on.
After that I got sick (and I wasn't the only one.. I guess something was wrong with the food) and had to spend the whole of yesterday in bed. Luckily I felt much better this morning because I had to go to the next christmas dinner at my other grandparents house...
I really love my family, but now I'm just happy to be home. _________________

Well , thats awesome whatever the reason! Europe seems to be much more family oriented. America is just soo rush-rush all the time. I really get sick of it sometimes and want to move to Europe.
I'm sorry you got sick. I'm exhausted too, my parents drove in from Denver and we went to three different parties while they were here. They left this morning. I had a great time but I'm glad I can just relax today and I don't have to go to any more parties.

My boxing day wasn't so good My parents had to drop my brother off somewhere, he's going to the Ukraine and staying there for a while with a group of people for the holidays so we didn't have a nice cooked lunch just some cold meat for dinner that was left over from yesterday and some chips. I was hoping there's be more on TV too Oh well. |
