When Kate and Locke arrive at the Others' camp, Ben promises to tell Locke the island's secrets as long as he stops his destructive plan, and Kate's reunion with Jack doesn't go very well when she learns that the Others have offered him a deal. Through series of flashback we will discover Locke's painfull secret and it will be revealed how he ended up in a wheelchair.

Richard Alpert is back?? You remember the creepy eyeliner dude from NIP? I am guessing he will appear on the island. I can't see him as Jacob though.. Also great to see Anthony Cooper back but no Helen
I did not see that ending coming... I was like Okay what is in that room... it better be good LOL... I never considered it would be John's Dad... it shocked me anyway...

John Locke was so bald in this episode. I cannot even believe how bald he was. I mean did you see his pants were brown too? What the? Seriously. Brown pants. I know! Right?
And what about his bruises. How many different colors were they? Hahaha. I mean. They were like, at least five different colors. But I'm no makeup artist.
He still has his scar too! HAHA!
And his dad was in this episode too! Can't forget that. I mean, his dad is on the island now. When that other guy opened the door that guy was sitting there all tied up, that was Locke's dad.
Did you know that John Locke is also the name of a philosopher? I mean, maybe they did that on purpose? You think. I mean, after this episode I'm really starting to think that.
What did you guys think? Wasn't this episode awesome?!?!?!

my verdict: it was.
Finally the Locke flashbacks have come full circle - finally the whole "my dad is a jerk!" thing has come together into one shocking and intense ending... man I feel so sorry for Locke. He must hate his dad... but at the same time still loves him and thinks he can change. But everything that went wrong in his life was because of him. Intense. What will he do now? Intriguing.
I actually called Cooper being behind that door when Ben talked about the box thing. And I am also willing to bet anyone -lets say- a hundred dollars he is also the real Sawyer. There's just no way he's not at this point lol too perfect a storyline.
I freaking love Ben. So Ben+Locke= even better. Don't care AT ALL Locke blew up the sub, leading into Ben's hands, because at least he wasn't just having a "blonde moment" . Locke, I'm so much prouder of you now, you're turning into the perfect little villain I always wanted you to be! But he's not evil, no way. Perhaps selfish, but I can't blame him after the life he's lived.
Locke gets his spot back as #1 character (maybe tied with Ben, heh)
As for the rest - I freaking love these Others eps. Tom is teh awesome. Jack and Kare's reunion was pretty-much exactly as I predicted it to be LOL - down to that glare on Kate's face as she saw Juliette touching Jack's arm
Locke's fall - woah.
Guesses about what Locke will do with his dad, now that he has him helpless and all? My prediction: he'll put up an angry, cruel front, but in the end he'll let him go. Unless he takes a dark twist and... kills him or something. That'd be intense.
Actually, chances are Ben will just close the door again and say "nya nya nya nya nya nya. First you have to do something for me!"
Not much to say. I liked though. *sniff* my poor Locke.

im right there with you Hobbes, tonights episode was spectacular. I thnk both Micheal Emmerson and Terry OQuinn deserve an emmy nom this year! loved the reveal at the end, its been soo long since weve had a Locke episode reveal. i ope this streak of good episodes keeps rolling!
note: this is really making me want to make a locke/ben vid!!!

I think the fact the reveal of why he was in the wheelchair satisfied my curiosity for such a long drawn out mystery speaks volumes for this episode. Unfortunately I was spoiled last minute by accident about Cooper being on the island. Bloody mirc chatrooms not going there again! Still though I think the ending was amazing.
I didn't think Anthony Cooper could get any worse but apparently he is a cold hearted murderer aswell and he blatantly tried to kill John :/ He is also likely to be the real Sawyer with all the conning. He has to be one of the hatest tv characters of all time
I really enjoyed this episode. The Jate seemed forced to me really. I guess I'm biased but I didn't get all the whispering and stuff it felt off. Jacket all the way baby!
*squee* Danielle got to see Alex finally. I was happy for that I just can't wait for their reunion. And I still believe in you Danielle! All the talk about you being an evil liar is all garbage in my book. _________________

I think I'm an anomaly I don't find the current Jate OR Skate unrealistic . I mean, isn't everyone else one or the other, but mostly both?

The other thing that I didn't like about this episode is that Jack and Sawyer didn't have hot gay sex.
I mean, I realize that they weren't even in the same geographical location. But when Jack was playing the piano. You just know he was thinking of Sawyer.
So they could have had like a vegas-style thought bubble with him and Sawyer going at it floating above his head while he played. At the very least making out if not full-on doing it.
