Wow. That had to be the weirdest and longest flashback ep ever. Count on Desmond to stand out.

And I'm going through the whole Shannon phase again.... like in season 1 I hated her and wanted her to die (well I would have felt glad if she died), but then in Boone's vision when it really looked like she got the monster bites of death I was like nooooo, please don't, not now! This can't really happen!

Even though I've hated CHARLIE since halfway through season 2, I'm already starting to miss him. But who knows if a twist of fate will happen or something. Lets watch and see. *pops popcorn in mouth*

Whoa.[/Keanu voice]

Thanks for the huge effort to keep me from spoilering myself. I didn't end up reading anything about the twist and saw it for myself!

*is so proud*

Hey, does this mean that instead of shipping Daire all this time, I've actually been shipping Chesmond? Or uh... Darlie? Just a thought...

01. Anybody get a Final Destination feeling with this? (First the bus, then the "universe realigning, thus you can't cheat death" thingie.)

I'm having a big final destination thing now when that old woman says to desmond she couldn't do anything because the next day he could get hit by a taxi but she would warn him about that but then he'd fall in the shower and break his neck

^^^so final destination ^^^

and at the end of the episode with charlie and desmonds talk

awww, thanks KC! I just read some boards where people are throwing parties about Charlie dying. *sigh*

As for Charlie's attitude in this episode..to his defense - Maybe he felt like his beloved Claire was in danger after having Desmond (supposedly) saved her twice. If I was in Charlie's shoes, I'd be freaked too and afraid for my loved one. I don't really blame him for wanting answers from Desmond - especially since Claire's safety was in the balance.

And to his credit he did help out Desmond at the end even though Desmond tried to strangle him and he did say he was sorry he called him a coward.

/end Charlie-defending mode.

How awesome were the scenes with Penny!!!! What shocked me is that Penny called him a coward and that is why that word has a big impact on him. Not because Penny's dad called him that... that was a nice twist.

LMAO! Good one, Ais!!

Anyway, this episode was heartbreaking!!!!
I feel so sorry for Desmond and I even felt sorry for Charlie when Desmond rescued Claire and Charlie couldn't do much himself to help her. This new storyline will be so

Well that was...definitely not one of the best lost eps ever. It was good back story for Desmond, like the way it was put together and his stuff with Penny as she's pretty hot, but overall. The beach stuff was fairly basic, nobody except Charlie, Hurley and Desmond did anything, and the british stereotypes were just.....hell have any of the creators ever been here? We don't all get plastered and sing like that

HOLY SMOKES......! I am utterly breathtaken. Without a doubt, the most powerfull, heartbreaking episode of LOST to date!

Desmond has risen to my favorite character slot at the moment. Who would've guessed what happened to him once he turned that key..?

Anyways, probably the most suspenseful episode this season so far, and maybe the most important episode of LOST ever. Great theme of Fate Vs. Choice here.

Everything from start to finish was brilliantly executed, and the flashbacks were used in the most effective way I have ever seen in any show. Now I know why I love LOST, just watch this episode. Loved the twist at the end, can't wait to see where it leads. Will Charlie escape fate?

As for Desmond, I really hope penny finds him. His story is very sad, and they are like the greatest couple ever.

Charlie's version of Wonderwall was pretty good! Except if Noel or Liam heard it they'd probably call him a poof and punch him in the face..

Anyways.. I liked the episode. I got kinda confused halfway through and was pausing it and rewinding it going ''wait a minute.. what?'' but I think I got it in the end thanks to Desmond kinda expaining it to Charlie.

The whole 'The universe has a way or corse-correcting' is very Final Destination-ey. Like if the man didn't get crushed by scafolding he would be hit by a taxi etc.

But it was good. At least they didn't give us a shit Desmond episode.
