a) Desmond can see into the future (like he saw Locke's speach) he probalby saw that Claire's tent was going to get hit by lightning so he build that lightning-rod to protect them. In a way, he saved Aaron, Claire and Charlie's life. I'll bet Charlie will be really nice to Desmond in the future.

I'll bet he wont, because I'm not entirely sure Charlie got that out of it. I'll be honest; I didn't even think of that until you just said it. I wonder if Charlie just thinks that Desmond is a) trying to hone in on his territory or b) just creepy for making the lightning-rod.

Even though I'm no Daire shipper, I had a little smirk on my face the whole time Desmond was talking to her.

Woah, you guys sure are being spoiler-text-crazy None of that needed to be spoilered, just so you know . Try to keep spoiler-tags to the SPOILERS . Saying "Woah, Sawyer is HOTT", or talking about the ep that already aired ain't much of a spoiler . And forget the West-coasters, the first airing is the one that counts.

As for this ep: woah! Best ep this season YET! I'm starting to REALLY like how things are going. And next week's promises even more?! Awesome.
1. That Skate was even better than I expected it to be . Even with the "I only said it to make them let you go" thing, that was quite obviously not true. Damn, that was just like... epic love stuff right there . You skaters must be like.... rolling on the floor in your endless happiness

2. Desmond thing - didn't get until Cylune just said that . Cool!

3. Pacemaker thing - I was actually expecting a harvest for organs fo something what with the whole operation with Cole. Btw, Jack was great . Things are finally *starting* to make a bit of sense on why they want those three (though Kate seems, right now, to just be more of a bargaining chip to get the others to cooperate)

4. Daire - LOL that was a pretty "Dairing" scene right there

5 - what Tom said right before Sawyer worke up - about the communications going down since the skies turned purple - was really intriguing . For one thing, that means the hatch was more than just a trap for the button pushers if they failed - it actually did something. It also means the others didn't really know that would happen. I was surprised in the finale by how they just shrugged off the skies turning purple so easilly, like it was expected, but if it screwed their communications up, then obviously they weren't that prepared for it .

6 - "You're good. We're better" LMAO I kept expecting Sawyer might push Ben off the cliff. But apparently they really did earn his respect. Though when you think about it, that was all... kinda pointless what did it do? It ended with Sawyer cooperating for a wee little bit, and everyone getting puched and beaten... other than the whole Kate love thing (my crazy theory is still alive )

7 - two islands: didn't see it coming, but not surprised. I take it they're on that island marked "Alex" on one of Danielle's maps (can't find it sorry. Just tried). Seeing as how that's where Alex is too . Their little "prisoner" centre .

Interesting though... they don't even have a surgeon, at least on that little island.... just a fertility doctor (picked up from the medical hatch Claire was at, I imagine...)
btw, this hatch/station is called "The Hydra", in case you didn't know that one.

I really liked this ep. Even enjoyed the backstory. Sawyer having a daughter = neat, him actually caring and giving her that money from ratting out whatsisname = even better! And the island stuff was very climatic . Loved that whole scene where Cole dies, and Picket's voice is muffled by the windows. Followed by the "I love him" thing - wow... that was pro.

Maybe then we should move episode discussions into the SPOILER area...its really hard to honestly talk about the episode if we cant actually TALK about the episode.

Ditto. But afterwards I called that it was fake-a-rooni.

LOL! ME TOO!

Yeah not the huge "SHOCK" I was expecting. Thought they were going to show him the giant foot or something. So Sayid et al are literally on "a road to nowhere".

I agree Hobbes- the episode didnt actually "DO" anything, but it DID give us a lot of character development. By the way, huge kudos to Jack for turning the tables on Julia, almost EXACTLY what henry did with Locke the -"you must hate it when he tells you what to do" (paraphrasing).

Well, everyone can you just can't say stuff about the ep that hasn't aired yet . But that's only if it's, like, some real insider information, like that Sawyer's got a saughter, or wahtever. Just saying you think the ep is gonna be great isn't a spoiler. And we can't move it to the spoiler talk, or the people who don't waste their time with spoilers won't have anywhere to go! .

forgot about that- LOVED that part . *has so much more respect for Jack now*

Alright, just finished watching and I can say that I am very happy about the epsisode However, I totally called out the "twist" to Sawyer's flashback. They really need to drop his different "cons" as I believe the viewers are now catching on and is now "predictable". Though him having a kid was crazy So sweet at the end with him giving his money to her.

Not much to say about Desmond and his lightning rod. Riddle me this, how could you "fix" the roof to prevent it from a lightning strike... Oh, totally loved Paulo's 15 second spamlight...yeah, not.

P.S. ~ Paulo, stop wasting the golfballs by hitting them in the ocean!! You're not at a golf range with endless supplies...douchebag.

Another question: Remember in the premiere when Ben told Goodwin that if he "ran" he could make it to the crash site...how the heck is that possible now that they're two islands. Their little fishing boat isn't fast either, still need to run and he came from inland, thus Bernard saw him.

Though the flashback was predictable, save the baby scenario, it was a good, surprising episode. For some reason I actually thought Jack was going to save her He so does care for Juliet, LIAR!

I think the point was to get them away from the shelter, or take it down so the lightning wouldn't hit it.

Rocks.... I think.
I can't wait until they kill Paulo and whatsername - you KNOW they will (that, or do the thing they've always promised - take a main character out with them, and instead of the redshirt dying, he/she comes back and becomes a main character )

They were on the main island with the pretty-little-clearing . The second island is a dinky little Alcatraz one .

I have answers . Not oes you probably want to hear, mind you.

All in all, I thought it was an excellent episode. Yep, I called out Sawyer's twisty con too, as they are becoming predictable, but also the fact that he's a conman makes pretty much everything predictable.

The heartwrenching scene was exactly what it was predicted to be. Heart-wrenching, but you know, that triangle is still there. The viewers were given what they asked for, a confession, but that may not end up being her choice.

What I'm starting to see now, is that some of our Others have FEELINGS. Ben and Juliet tend to be cold as ice, Zeke's just.....well..Zeke, but Pickett is the one that struck me. He lost his wife, and no matter how manipulative you are, you lose someone you love, you can't cover that up that well. I was glad to see some actual REAL human emotion from one of them. Still doesn't make them the good guys though, as Pickett decided to take it out on Sawyer, when Sawyer didn't do anything but mess with him.

That was another funny bit tonight, Sawyer's reaction of first seeing Pickett with the bandage on his nose and says 'need to blow your nose?' and other jibes.

-Spoilerish- As For Kate:

Spoiler:

The cliffhanger episode, episode number 6, is said to be Kate-Centric. Up above in my post I spoke of her having made a confession, but not a choice. I don't think we will finally see her choice until the 6th episode, as most characters don't make the pivotal important decisions until their flashback episode (It's not true in every case, but in the majority), or we see in their flashback what happened in their life that could have affected them to make that choice, etc. etc.

There is still a Kate/Sawyer/Jack triangle. I liked the touch of "I only said that so he would stop hitting you", Kate's line to Sawyer. Was she lying? I think so. We have seen from Season One, that there's some kind of feeling between the two. She wanted to see him before she left in the season one finale, but he wasn't there. He returned and she rarely left his side, took care of him, and even said to the possessed-by-Wayne Sawyer "Everytime I have feelings for Sawyer---" We have also seen an unpredictable kiss between Jack and Kate, but one in which Kate regretted, even though Jack did not.

I had heard at one point that Kate would find out that Sawyer and Ana-Lucia had slept together, and that she wouldn't be happy at all. Dunno if that'll ever happen, there seems to be more important things to worry about, but a jealousy over Sawyer sleeping with someone else goes to show there is feeling there.

I think that Kate/Sawyer and Kate/Jack would both make very good couples. There are unique things in each that would bring out awesome chemistry, but I'm a Skater and I just find a Kate/Sawyer relationship more appealing. They understand each other. Jack has never really been able to understand Kate's running issue. Sawyer does, and him understanding it could lead to him solving that issue. Jack and Juliet strike me as a very good relationship. They seem to have some similar personality traits. They're both pretty soft, but they're also tough, there is a similarity in their professions, and plus what struck me was Juliet telling Jack that her and Ben "made decisions together", something Locke said to Ben in the second season, just something else they had in common, a partnership with someone that it was hard to make decisions with. Jack and Locke had some problems in Season Two, and Ben and Juliet have had who knows how many?

Anywho, that's as long as I'm typing...my hands are tired.

Yeah it was kind of a mean thing to SAY right THEN, when the man had been severely beaten and was basically kind of AGREEING with her on the love issue. I definitley think she does have a lot of feelings for him, but doesnt want to. *Sigh* Too bad love doesnt work that way. I think she WANTS to have those feelings for Jack- I agree however that Sawyer understands her way better. Jack is kind of a goody-two shoes.

Okay. So this episode was one of the best in the season so far IMO. Way better than the last. And yes, even I liked the Skate scene... I'm starting to think that she does have feelings for Sawyer, even though she said she doesn't. But i'm still a Jater Bwahahaaaaa

Sawyer's con in the flashback was very predictable. I noticed that right from the whole apple thing at the start. Like ooangeliceviloo said, he is a con man so he is bound to be predictable. And his daughter? WERN'T SHE JUST THE CUTEST BABY YOU EVER DID SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daire! I loved the Daire in that scene. But I like PB+J so i'm not sure where I stand there.

I get it now But I didn't at the time. Which is why I was going to post anyway but then someone had already answered for me!

Finally, the Jack scenes. I thought they were great actually. And Juliet (why do some websites like AOL KEEP calling her Julia? Its a completely different name!) was great. I thought she didn't like Coleen after last episode when she 'interupted something' and J made that smart remark to her, but it turned out they really were friends. Kinda like Jack and Sawyer. And the whole intercom scene was weird. I thought it hadn't worked in years so how could Jack hear through it AGAIN? Was Juliet just messing with him in that episode?

Oh yeah and I can't believe Sawyer was going to leave Jack behind. I thought he considered Jack as his mate?

But anyways. Great episode. Daddy Sawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, they couldve made the whole lightning rod thing a bit more obvious, like instead of asking to fix her roof, maybe suggesting she leave or something(?)

Lovin' Desmond. Lay off Sawyer! Why can't Kate get zapped? >/

I really liked Sawyer's flashbacks. It was a different setting than we usually see. Someone has to do a Prison Break/Lost crossover now It was obvious that he was gonna be conning Munson but we learned some new things notably Sawyer is a daddy! (didn't see that coming.) I don't believe that she is lying to him.

Believe it or not I called the second island a while ago. I used that as an excuse to say why the show could be extended. I'm with Hobbes though I think that the others original home was on the Losties island cause I think they wouldn't have been able to reach them quickly otherwise. I do think they might have relocated to Alcatraz after people crashed there though.

Spoiler:

Did you see the preview with the hand on the cam? I think that's the eye patch character Kristen has been talking about and who knows maybe one of the other Others. Also the talk is Eko is a gonna next ep

Relocation makes sense.

How come:

1.) The "Others" didnt explain they were on an Alactraz style island AT THE BEGINNING when they first took them??? Wouldnt that have deterred some of the escape attempts?

2.) Kate and Sawyer havent figured out that they are being watched/bugged?

And heehee about the pulse at watching Kate undress and bucket of water.

I watched ATOTC again recently and Sawyer looks straight at the camera so he knows there are cameras anyways. He should have guessed they are being watched.
