I have a little story for you, so gather round and listen closely, kids!
A while back, I was making a JateSkate triangle vid to 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley, and I was saving the WMM project file for the last time before saving it as a video file, and the program crashed. This was pretty much the norm for WMM at this stage in my project, so I CTRL-ALT-DELETED and closed the program. However, when I reopened the program and tried to open the project file, it said the file was corrupted during the last save, and so I lost three weeks' worth of work on this one damn video. And I haven't remade it since, nor will I in the future.
So kids, the moral of the story is, save after EVERY SINGLE CLIP you put on the timeline if you are using WMM, and it will probably also help to back up your project files in another location on your computer or a memory stick/flash drive, and save the project in both locations after everything you do. This may seem like overkill, but it will definitely help you. Because WMM is probably the WORST vidding program around. Plus the fact that I only have version one is damn annoying. But I know how to use it properly now, so tis all good until I get paid and can buy Vegas. *squee* That program looks so delicious!
Hope this helps, just wanted to give you all a heads up! |
