hey! I'm not as bad as E!
I think I'm turning into E though It's the coding I think, it changes a man.
Let me put it this way: the parts of the show I don't like entertain me as much as the parts I do like this way, because I can poke fun at them . I'm not usually serious about it though. The only eps I really like are those where we get some answers, the rest is just coddling to the shippers or whatever. I love the mystery part of the story, but I'm as indifferent to the rest as I would be to any other show really. Aside from Locke, I don't really care or connect with any of these characters, or if I do then the importance of that connection is lost when they're jumped through some other dumb little ratings-ploy hoop like the Jate kiss. That's the place for vids, to get across what the show doesn't because it has the misfortune of being popular. lol.
So am I a big fan, by which I mean oblivious to the show's mistakes? No, I guess I probably am not but I will continue to watch and enjoy, and at least appreciate the footage that can be manipulated into thousands of other stories when the original just doesn't cut it.
Though some of it definitely has, like Walkabout, and the S2 finale, and about a hundred other smaller moments in the show, which is why I still do love it.

I can easilly. There was nothign special abotu that one, they just threw out a monster sighting that had nothing to do with the rest of the ep and tried to get me excited about it. Add in a completely out-of-the-blue "OH! That dead guy is my brother!" mement . Ot was alright but not the best of the season, and definitely not the best ever

Best flashback island usage cause it actually directly linked to what was happening A* on the flashbacks from me which were also pretty entertaining anyways. The linkage to the drug plane which we hadn't touched on since Boone died and answering that question. Seeing the monster up close and personal for the first time, the images in the smoke we saw of Eko's past, the beautiful rendition of the psalm at the end by Eko over island scenes. It is most defintely one of the best ever in my book. _________________

*nods* I, too, have been an X-Files fan for many years. And logically, I should be right there with you. However, in between X-Files and Lost, I was an Andromeda fan, and so as long as they manage to keep the quality level above that of the last three seasons of Drom, I am content.
I have ridiculously low standards. _________________

New one:
Quote: | Kiele Sanchez Gets Lost
Remember the hint I dropped in this week's Ask Ausiello about an actress from a "recently axed TV show" vying for that third Lost role? Well, I was referring to Related's Kiele Sanchez -- not Eliza Dushku, as 90 percent of you had guessed/hoped. I'm telling you this now because it looks like Ms. Sanchez closed the deal late Friday, although I have yet to receive an official confirmation from ABC. I'll have more on this developing story in this Wednesday's AA. |

Is she the one who's supposed to be Jack's new love interest? _________________

*looks up Elizabeth Mitchell at IMDB*
Ah, yeah, she looks more like she might be Jack's interest.
The new one just looks too young for him. _________________

Here's some new stuff about Season 3 from Lost-Media.com:
Quote: | Jack, Kate and Sawyer open the season in captivity as prisoners of "The Others." Just who these "Others" are and what they want are primary questions Season Three will explore. Michael Emerson joins the regular cast in his ongoing role as Henry Gale, leader of "The Others." Romance looms on the horizon as Jack's interests veer towards a mysterious new woman, whose motives may be questionable. Sun and Jin will continue to celebrate their pregnancy - but is the child really Jin's? Locke and Sayid will band together with some of the other survivors and journey across the island in an attempt to free Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Charlie will attempt to return into the good graces of Claire and her baby, Aaron, but can he be trusted to stay clean and sober? The fates of Locke, Desmond and Mr. Eko in the aftermath of the implosion of the hatch are answered. Will Penny Widmore find the island and her long, lost love, Desmond, and can the survivors find a way to interact with the outside world?
The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But as they have discovered during their 60-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets. |
Concerning the last sentence: If they're talking about Jack here, isn't that what we already heard before Season 2 started? Now, where were those big Jack secrets in Season 2, huh? _________________

Oh, and another thing: Why can't they just give up on the whole Charlie-is-a-drug-addict topic? I don't like him, but c'mon, it's getting boring and why can't he just be happy with Claire for a while?
But Yay! to Michael Emerson (Henry) joining the regular cast in Season 3! _________________

I think next season sounds great...I like the idea of Locke and Sayid trying to rescue Jack, Kate and Sawyer. Should be interesting.
Don't remember anything said about Jack having big secrets...but if it was said, they probably chose not to yet, or it was just them stretching the truth to get more viewers in...since he did reveal some secrets, but none of them were shocking.
IMO Charlie's best as a drug addict...CC irritates me. _________________

Yep, totally. Plus, it means that Locke isn't dead! Not that anyone would've thought so, but it's still good to know that he'll be back, at least according to the spoilers

I agree with you on the CC topic (she should be with someone else --> Desmond! ), but the whole "today I'm an addict, but tomorrow I'll be clean" issue is getting on my nerves. _________________

I think he's definetly kicked it now since there's no more drugs on the island but it'll take a while for people to trust him again since everybody knows he was an addict now. _________________
