Really? Wow, well, most of those people are Foxy fangirls anyway.  Desmond has proved to be one of the most interesting characters - even with a 2 hour flashback episode, we still don't know a lot about him.
The Hatch/Otherville two-cities theory is a good one. I never thought of that, hmm. That'll indeed be interesting, and no one should complain, since that's what people have wanted to see the most. Locke, Eko, and Desmond, as well as the Love Triangle. Their stories ARE supposed to be directly related after all, so I think you're onto something!
October 4th needs to come. Like, now.

I hope it's not a Desmond flashback.... I'd be more interested in a Jack one  Desmond doesn't have much more mystery-wise. He doesn't even know much about Dharma or Widmore. At least with Jack there's a chance we might find out why the Others chose him from his flashbacks.
I have a feeling the opening is going to feature a different sort of flashbacks - or rather, flash-presents - to Jack(or whoever gets first flashback)'s familly trying to find him. Thus the "Tale of Two Cities" - Island and off.

Does that mean solely about them or mostly about them? A mini-series seems to stress the solely, especially since they didn't say the first 7 eps of S2 would be a "mini-series" about the tailies, which they kinda were. If it's solely, I think I might just like it even more.

That, I wouldn't mind. *nod* I just wouldn't want another flashback based on Jack and his tendency for fixing people as the opener, you know? It worked well last season, but I don't know if that's the first thing people want to see after the S2 cliffhanger. So, an off-island kind of flashback would definitely rock. I like that theory. I said on my LJ that I'd like to see what Jack's family is thinking, more so than a few other characters' relatives. He was supposed to be coming back with his dead father for Christian's father, after all. I'd be FREAKING out if I were his family; so yeah, I like that idea a lot too.
To me, Desmond's appeal is his backstory, before getting on the island - because you're right, he doesn't exactly have many answers to provide except why the plane crashed - and what happened to Kelvin.  I have a feeling we won't see that for a while, but if it did happen to be part of the opener (even in an off island scenario), I wouldn't be dissapointed. But I doubt it. It'd be kinda random to flash to Desmond in the military, or to one of his buddies, lmao.

Oh God, rofl. It'll be damn intense when it is revealed that there is a division amongst the Others, a group of them each shipping Jate, Skate, or... Jawyer. They'll be thrown in a room together, closely observed by the others, who are just WAITING for the sexual tension to crack...
...I can't wait. This'll be damn good. I wonder if any shippers with signs like "JATE IS FATE!!@!11" will pop up?

They spy on the losties in the hatch via the cameras, so they know that Jate and Skate are the closest on the whole love brigade (and they don't know about Sun being pregnant as she has never been in the hatch). My Cracktheory makes perfect sense

Heeeeee! I SEE THE LIGHT. Indeed it does make sense, I will keep it in mind when I watch S3 -- and tell all of my friends. lmao, in that case, you should get a personal invite. I know absolutely nothing about the panels, to be honest. I'm just a lurker in all of the reports, and occasionally giggle at the people who think they're sneaky with their camera and their blackberry. Why do some people think they don't know the answers? You really think they could make up these random crazy things and just decide an answer for them later? They'd definetly paint themselves into a corner at some stage if they did that. |
That's actually because I've been an X-Files fan for so many years and the producers and writers there unfortunately often failed to give plausible answers. The stories got weirder and more and more complicated and I just hope this won't happen to Lost. That's all.

Yay, I liked the idea of a mini-series of 4 episodes I guess that we need something really good since it's gonna be like, 13 more weeks after that, until we see Lost again.
Oh, and btw? How come Maggie Grace was on the meeting for the 3rd season? *hopeful Shayider*

LOL I know The good news is I'm not the harshest.
Every episode is good when watched a second time on my computer in Winamp.
I just find making fun of this stuff very fun I need something to keep me entertained before Seaon 3 (and during season 3, if this is the "love season" ) ((see there, that was one of them. But that was serious too. )) |

Heee! I know what you mean, dude. I poke fun at the series all of the time, even if it is my favorite show. It tides you over until new canon content arrives, that's for sure. Right now, Matthew Fox is my current outlet - I love the guy to death, but I'm finding it easier to poke fun at his character more, just because Jack is so damn intense. Damn the hiatus for making me go insane.
But in all seriousness, I am terribly confused about this mini-season. Is it only focused on the captivity storyline, without revisiting other stories back on the beach or in the hatch? Or is the J/K/S story the "main" plot of the season, with other subplots to be included as well?
