I'd give it a silver I think, but it could be on the edge of not getting one There's not all that much story or anything to it (though that's a nice Jate vid ), so it's really not that different from hundreds of other Jates. Thus it comes down to basic editing, which in this is fairly clean and alright. No amazing beat use, but well-done nonethess. The thing that could hurt this the most is probably the aspect ratio changes actually . While they don't usually make much of an impact on a vid, one as close to the line as this that has aspect ratio mess-ups makes it look a lot less professional, and thus susceptible to being seen as not worthy of the award.

It was a pleasant Jate vid, done fairly well, with a nice structure that ended really well, but there's just not all that much to be "wow"ed about from it unfortunately There's nto all that much you can do to change that at this point. Hmmmm...

Kudos on a well-made, pleasant vid though! I loved how it all fit together so seamlessly
(btw, next time could you put this in the Self Help forum? Vidding Help is generally for technical stuff, or at least we try to make it that lol)

I'll reply here if you want rbexter rather than pm.

Well what I thought the vid lacked most was a strong, complete idea of what it was about. I thought maybe you were going for a nice sweet seaside romance for Jack and Kate but you ended up having them in the jungle in some scenes.. I think you should have stuck to scenes on the beach and added some more scenic shots of the sea and the coast. Think hard about how each scene reflects the one before. That is the easiest way to make a story organically is follow each scene from the one before. Like if you had Jack and Kate kissing in one scene maybe you could have them looking awkwardly at each other wondering about their feelings straight after.

Also avoid talkie scenes where characters talk but you can't tell what they are talking about. It's very distracting. Try to convey their emotions and feelings towards each other without having them flap their mouths about. I know it's hard with Jack and Kate though cause they do talk a hell of a lot lol

It was a cute idea though it just needs some work.

I don't think the aspect ratio changes are that much of a problem here. They only change twice or so and at least it is in a similar ratio and looks kinda neat actually. I hate it when it jumps around from widescreen to full screen.
