Sorry. I'm a hair-ruffling addict. It's part of my charm.
*ruffles Marcus's hair, just because*
Note: In Real Life, I have never ruffled somebody's hair. That's probably why I do it every so often on the Internet...
Thank you, Warren. I appreciate you saying that! And it makes me feel really good that so many of y'all have said you'll miss me! *one more single, dramatic emo tear*

Aww thanks, Mon Frere. Glad I didn't squick you out with you having to comfort Steph and I, but you're so good at making us feel better when we're down in the dumps, I couldn't help myself. _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

In an effort to lighten the mood sooner, although I haven't finished this episode--I'm going to post it in two parts, since it's going to be a pretty long one. Hopefully, you'll all be able to move past the sadness of losing Aislynn for another fun episode. Ais, try not to choke on your popcorn
Part One
“Hey!” Steph yells out, crossing her arms over her chest. “Who let Colin into the liquor?!”
Colin grins and hiccups slightly as he comes back out of the kitchen with a flask in hand.
“It’ll put some hair on the little runt’s chest,” Sawyer replies, following Colin out.
Frowning, Kate looks up from her conversation with Jack. “Sawyer,” she sighs, “he’s not old enough.”
“So?” Sawyer asks.
“Yeah,” Colin says, “so?”
Marcus and Warren look up from their card game and grin.
Aislynn has been gone for at least twelve hours and its getting late. Locke has gone to bed and Claire is taking a night-shower, because their clue says they have a Challenge tomorrow at eleven in the morning; Claire doesn’t much feel like fighting Nikki for the shower in the morning.
“I can’t sleep,” Jen says angrily, sitting back up in bed.
“Me either,” Ruth sighs. She’s laying on her back staring up at the ceiling.
“Where’s everyone else?” Jen asks.
Ruth slowly sits up and looks around in the darkness for a moment before turning on the lamp beside her bed. “Uh...I guess they must all still be up...” she says, noting that all of the beds are still made and the only interruption in the pristine state of the room, other than Jen and Ruth themselves, is that Claire’s bag is open on her bed and it looks as though she had recently rifled through it for clothes.
“Well,” Jen says, rubbing her eyes with her fists against the new brightness of the room, “guess we might as well be up, too.”
“Guess so,” Ruth replies, shrugging.
A pause falls between them both and then Jen’s face morphs into a wicked grin. “I know what we can do...”
“So, I mean, that’s why it’s weird for some of us that she’s gone,” Paul finishes explaining and takes a bite out of his sandwich.
“Ohh,” Nikki replies, “so you guys never really knew each other, but you did, too, in a way?” She shifts on her stool beside his at the breakfast bar and sips on a glass of Seven and 7, a mixture of Seagrams Seven Crown whiskey and 7-Up.
Paul nods. He looks over at her drink. “What is that, anyway?”
“Seven and 7,” she says and explains the ingredients, “wanna try it?”
“Yeah,” Paul says, taking her glass from her when she offers it and taking a sip. “Not too bad,” he says, handing it back to her.
Charlie and Jack walk into the kitchen together, chatting amiably. Charlie dries his hair with his towel and Jack’s towel is slung over his shoulder—they’ve just returned from a swim.
“I’m in the mood for a drink,” Jack says.
“Me too,” Charlie agrees.
Nikki looks up and over at them. “There’s a ton of stuff in the fridge...soda, fruit juice...”
“A drink,” Jack says, rolling his eyes.
“Oh!” Nikki replies, “well, there’s all kinds of stuff in the cabinet above the sink. Whiskey, Vodka, JD, Jager...plus a ton of other stuff I’ve never even heard of,” she adds.
“Yeah, we’re totally stocked,” Paul agrees, taking a swig of beer, “and there’s beer in the fridge, too, by the way,” he adds, raising his bottle for them to see.
“Brilliant!” Charlie says.
Steph sits down on the couch beside Colin and looks over at him. “You’re drunk,” she tells him.
“I’m touched,” Colin replies firmly, knocking back a swig from the flask. “You’ll know it when I’m hic actually drunk.”
Kate giggles and bites her bottom lip not to laugh harder. “See, Sawyer? It’s not a good idea giving underage kids liquor. He’s so far gone.”
“No, I’m not!” Colin insists, this time lucidly.
Warren and Marcus exchange looks before going back to their game.
“Hey, guys!” Ruth calls out as she and Jen come into the community room, “we’ve had a great idea.”
Not bothering to look up from the game he and Warren have immersed themselves in once again, Marcus sighs. “I’m sure it’s brilliant.”
“What’s that?” Sawyer asks, raising an eyebrow as Jen holds up a box.
“Jenga,” Jen replies with a smile.
“Drinking Jenga,” Ruth corrects her, grinning ear to ear.
“Count me out,” Marcus says.
“Me too,” Warren replies.
“Anyone else?” Jen asks, shaking the box a little in the air. “Who’s in?”
Ten to fifteen minutes later, as Warren and Marcus deal out another hand of ‘War,’ Jen has finished setting up the blocks for the Jenga game and the seating arrangement around the coffee table has Jack at the head, and clockwise back around: Steph, Colin, Sawyer, Ruth, Charlie, Kate, Nikki, Paul, and Jen. Most of them are pretty well tipsy by now, and they’re all ready to play, now that Jen has explained the finer points and everyone knows that it’s basically just the regular game of Jenga, except for the commands on the blocks.
“Who wants to go first?” Jen asks.
No one says anything as they stare at the perfect Jenga tower.
“Come on,” Jen sighs.
“I will,” Jack finally says, taking a sip of his drink and sitting up straighter.
“Brave one,” Ruth says with a smile as Jack leans forward and pulls out a block.
As Jack turns the block over in his hands and looks at it, a confused look crosses his face. “It says ‘triple kiss’...what’s that?” he asks.
“Wow, that’s a hell of a way to start the game,” Jen laughs, “it means that you kiss the people on either side of you at the same time.”
“So that’s you and Steph?” Jack asks. “Kissing me at the same time?”
Steph’s cheeks go red and Jen nods. “That’s what it looks like...” she replies.
Nodding, Jack sets the block back down on the top of the tower and looks back and forth between Jen and Steph.
“Lucky him,” Paul jokes.
Warren looks up from his hand and over Marcus’s shoulder at the game. “Wow, I’m glad I’m not playing,” he says.
“Me too,” Marcus replies.
“Today might be good, Doc,” Sawyer says, annoyed.
Jen and Steph exchange a look and they both lean in toward Jack, the three of them pressing their lips together in an awkward sort of kiss before pulling away.
“Hot,” Nikki laughs, rolling her eyes as Steph leans forward and pulls a block neatly out of the tower.
“Oh fantastic,” Steph laughs as she reads it. “‘Trade an article of clothing with the person to your left,’” she reads, looking over at Colin.
“Who, me?” Colin asks.
Steph nods and shows him the block.
Shrugging, Colin pulls his shirt over his head and holds it out to Steph.
“Easy for you,” Steph laughs and takes his shirt, setting it down in her lap before pulling her own shirt up over her head and handing it to Colin.
“Jesus!” Warren says quickly, having seen movement in the corner of his eye that catches his attention.
Marcus, too, looks up and then behind him. “Ugh!” he cries out, turning his head away quickly. “Geez, you guys!”
“Relax, Gerbil,” Steph laughs as she pulls Colin’s oversized tee-shirt on.
Colin takes Steph’s lacy tank-top with spaghetti straps in his hands and looks at it. “I really have to put this thing on?” he asks, looking over at Jen with an incredulous look on his face.
“You really do, Colin,” Jen laughs.
“Beautiful,” Ruth laughs.
“Sucks to be you,” Paul replies genially as Colin grimaces and puts on Steph’s shirt.
“Don’t stretch it out, now,” Steph warns jokingly.
“Looks good on ya,” Kate jokes, laughing as she takes a drink of her beer.
“Are you really gonna wear that, Colin?” Warren asks, setting down his cards for a moment, raising his eyebrows.
Colin slowly turns his head and looks over at Warren. “You heard the lady,” he says nodding toward Kate, “looks good on me.”
“Whatever helps you sleep at night,” Marcus jokes.
When Steph has put her block back on the tower, Colin takes his time gently prodding a few blocks before finding one that practically falls out of its position and onto the coffee table. He picks it up and looks at it, grinning. “Says, ‘take two drinks,’” Colin says, putting the block back on the tower, “well, then, don’t mind if I do...”
Nikki grins and nudges Kate who looks over at her and joins her giggles when Colin over dramatically tosses back a swig from the flask not once, but twice and then looks over at Sawyer.
“You’re up,” Colin slurs slightly.
“Thanks, Harry Potter,” Sawyer replies, “I got that much on my own.” Sawyer reaches toward the Jenga tower and pulls out a piece slowly and carefully, turning it over and reading it, then showing it to the group.
Everybody Drinks.
All the players raise their respective glasses, cans, bottles, and flasks before taking a drink, and then Ruth takes her turn.
She doesn’t read the block aloud or tell anyone what it says, but she fixes her eyes on Paul.
Within seconds, Paul feels himself being watched and looks up and around until his eyes rest on Ruth. “What?” he asks.
Ruth smiles. “Take a drink,” she says, holding up the block and then reciting it’s command. “‘Stare at someone. If they ask ‘what?’, they drink; if not, you do.’”
Sighing, Paul lifts his beer bottle up to his lips and takes a sip. “Happy?” he asks in mock annoyance.
“Very,” Ruth replies with a grin and sets her block back on the tower.
Charlie pulls a block out and looks down at it, his smile fading quickly. He pauses before reading it aloud. “‘If you’ve made out with someone in this room, take three drinks.’ Is that for just me or for everyone?” he asks Jen.
“Everyone,” she replies quickly, though, really, it would normally only apply to the person who pulled the block.
“Well all righty, then,” Sawyer says with a grin, knocking back some gin and tonic. Jack and Kate, too, take a drink and Jen looks over at Charlie, who hasn’t yet lifted his beer. “C’mon then, Has-Been,” Sawyer says, “have a sip.”
Charlie frowns at Sawyer and puts the block back on the tower.
“How ‘bout you, Princess?” Sawyer asks, looking over at Jen, changing tactics slightly. “Ain’t you gonna take a drink...?” He winks at her and Jen furrows her brow.
Ruth and Kate exchange looks and then Ruth looks over at Paul grinning. Jackpot, she thinks. Now she has an idea of maybe why Aislynn and Jen were being so weird that day.
Jen finally lifts her bottle and takes a drink. Charlie does, too, refusing eye contact with anyone as he does so.
Warren looks at Marcus. “What was that about, d’you think?” he whispers.
“I don’t wanna know,” Marcus replies.
“All right, boys, have another drink,” Kate says, flashing the command on her block to everyone before setting it back down on the tower neatly. It read, Boys Drink.
“Sweet,” Colin mutters with a grin, taking another swig from his flask.
Nikki pulls her block next and grimaces down at it. “Oh, no way,” she mutters.
“What’s it say?” Kate asks, peering over Nikki’s shoulder to see for herself. She snorts in an effort not to laugh.
“Well?” Steph asks.
“She’s got to make a sex noise, it says,” Kate laughs, and soon the group is joining her laughter as Nikki puts the block back on the tower and lets out a low moan.
Marcus’ eyes go wide. “I think my ears are bleeding,” he mutters to Warren who merely grins in response.
“Okay,” Paul says leaning forward and surveying the stability of the tower before carefully poking at a series of blocks. He finds a loose one and pulls it free. “‘Truth or Dare,’” he reads, “does that mean I pick someone and ask them?” he asks, looking over at Jen before placing the block back on the tower.
Jen nods and takes a sip of her beer.
“All right, then; Charlie,” Paul says with a grin, “truth or dare?”
Jen looks sharply over at Charlie and mouths “dare!” at him, knowing that if he chooses truth, the question will be in connection to the awkwardness of his block.
Charlie sighs and swallows hard. “Dare,” he says slowly, hoping that it is the lesser of two evils.
Frowning slightly, Paul screws his face in concentration. He’d been hoping for a truth, and needs to think of a dare, now. “Uh...” he pauses again. “Dare you to play the rest of the game in your undershorts,” he finally says.
“You gay?” Sawyer asks quickly, looking over at Paul, “no one wants to see that!”
Paul shrugs. “I couldn’t think of anything good.”
“Bollocks,” Charlie mutters as he takes off his shirt and puts it down on the floor behind him. He sighs and stands. “Seriously, Paul?” he asks, raising his eyebrows.
“Sorry, mate,” Paul replies, shrugging again.
Jen’s cheeks go red and she forces her eyes onto her beer bottle as Charlie unzips his jeans and pushes them down around his ankles, sitting back down to take them off and set them behind himself along with the shirt.
“Good?” Charlie asks sarcastically.
“I’d say,” Nikki replies with a grin.
Charlie shoots her a death glare and crosses his arms over his chest.
“Ok...” Jen says quickly, trying to move the game along. “‘Pass three drinks,’” she reads after carefully choosing her block. She sets it back on the tower. “Steph, Colin, and Kate,” she says with a smile.
“Drinking is...rules,” Colin says incoherently as he takes a swig from the flask.
“Oh, God,” Steph laughs looking over at him as she, too, takes a drink.
“Bottoms up,” Kate says with a smile and finishes her drink. “I’ll be right back,” she says, standing. “Gotta get another.” _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

...wait...what? *scratches head*

But thanks for the good description, helps the visuals...ah yes, Colin watch out for the tiny tank! _________________

I would've been totally there playing cards with you and Warren, Marcus! When my friends and I hit drinking age, I had several people actually encourage me not to ever take it up...because it might've dulled down my naturally goofy personality! And I couldn't risk THAT, now could I???
[/end afterschool special]
That said, I'm glad I wasn't actually eating popcorn while I was reading this because I would've totally choked on it! Colin in Steph's lacy tank with the spaghetti straps... Charlie in his underwear... *snort* I thought Nikki was going to channel Paris Hilton for a minute there with her "Hot" comment...
*holds sides from laughing so much*
Everything was just so well written it was hysterical! Can't wait to read part 2! |

*whispers* Does that make me straight-edged?
Anyhow, funny as hell. Best line was: "Well, then, don't mind if I do!"

Yes it makes you straight-edged (assuming you aren't a smoker or a drug-addict ) but that's SO not a bad thing! I give mad props to straight-edge people
Also, I love how everyone's favorite part seems to be Drunk Colin

Part Two
“Anyone else need a refill?” Kate calls out from the kitchen.
Sawyer looks at his mostly-empty glass. “I could use one, Freckles,” he calls back.
“Me too,” Jen says.
“Oh, and me!” Steph and Ruth both call out simultaneously.
There’s a pause. “Uh, well I’m gonna need help carrying all this,” Kate calls back, laughing.
Everyone sitting around the coffee table turns their heads and looks over at Marcus and Warren.
“Uh, anyone?” Kate calls out.
Marcus and Warren look up quickly, feeling themselves being watched. “Why should we get your drinks?” Marcus asks, furrowing his brow.
“Yeah, really,” Warren says.
“I’ll help her,” Colin says, standing and immediately starting to wobble.
“Sit down,” Steph says quickly, tugging at his arm and guiding him back down to the floor.
Jack sighs. “I will,” he says and stands, heading out of the room and into the kitchen to help Kate.
When the two of them return and hand out the drinks, Jack goes right back into the game, pulling his block cautiously out of the tower and looking down at it. He holds it out to show that it says ‘pass five drinks’ and grins. “Two for Steph, one for Jen, one for Nikki, and one for Ruth,” he says, setting the block back onto the tower.
“How come I get two?” Steph asks, shoving him playfully and taking her drinks.
Jack just smiles and winks.
Steph pulls her block carefully and pauses as the tower wobbles precariously. When it steadies again, she looks at her block. “Says, ‘free,’ Jen...what’s that?” she asks, looking over at her friend.
“Means you don’t have to do anything, just put it back on the tower,” Jen replies, tearing her eyes away from Charlie again to look at Steph.
“Cool,” Steph replies, putting the block back and taking another drink. She scratches the back of her neck where the tag from Colin’s tee-shirt itches her.
“What?” Colin asks, looking over at her and knocking back another swig.
“Your tag is itching me,” Steph replies as Colin takes his own block from the tower.
“Yeah, well your whole stupid shirt is itching me, but you don’t hear me bitching about it, do you?” he asks.
“COLIN!” Steph gasps.
“Well, you don’t,” Colin insists, his words slurring together spectacularly, so that, at this point, it’s fairly difficult to understand what he’s saying if it’s out of context at all. “Mine says free, too.” He holds up the block when everyone looks at him, confused by the jumbled sound of his words.
“Weird,” Jen says as he puts the block back on the tower, his shaking hand causing it to sway slightly. “That almost never happens...”
Sawyer takes his block carefully, too, taking a few minutes to poke it loose. “Well that makes three,” he says, holding up another ‘free’ block and then placing it gently on top of the tower again.
“Is that even possible?” Jen asks herself, “I only had two free blocks in there...” she mutters. No one seems to be paying her much attention.
Ruth takes her turn next, taking the drink commanded by the block as she places it back on the tower.
“‘Pass four,’” Charlie reads his block. “Sawyer. All four,” he says spitefully.
“Oh no,” Sawyer says mockingly, holding his hands up defensively, “whatever shall I do?” He rolls his eyes and takes the four drinks without any problem.
Kate’s block, one that took her nearly two minutes to free from the now very tall and unstable tower, has the girls all taking a drink as Kate puts the block back.
Gently prodding a few different blocks, Nikki finds one that is somewhat loose and pokes it until it protrudes from the opposite side of the tower, and then she gently pulls it out of its position, looking down at it. “‘If you’ve made out with someone...’ Oh, this is like the block Charlie pulled before,” Nikki says, “so it looks like Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Jen, and Charlie are drinking,” she adds, putting the block back on the tower.
Jen and Charlie lock eyes for a moment before Jen looks back down, taking her drink. Charlie, Kate, Sawyer, and Jack all take their drinks, too, and then Paul pulls his block. “‘Everybody drinks!’” he reads and puts the block back down before raising his bottle up in the air briefly before taking a swig, along with everyone else around the table.
Carefully, Jen frees a block from the tower. She takes a drink from her beer. “‘Take one, pass two,’” she reads, setting the block back down on the tower. She looks over at Sawyer and frowns, but then decides against it. “Jack and Nikki,” she says. Her words, too, are starting to slur, as she takes another drink anyway.
Nikki and Jack raise their glasses up toward one another and both knock back a drink.
“All right...” Jack says leaning forward and reaching for a block.
“Your hands are so steady,” Jen comments drunkenly, grabbing his wrist and bringing his hand over in front of her face. “How do you do that?!” She lets go of him and Jack laughs, reaching toward the tower again.
“Spinal surgeon,” he says, figuring that’s a good enough explanation.
“What kinda answer is that?” Colin spits, grimacing at Jack as he sucks on his flask a little more.
Jack pauses with the block in his hand. “Uh...” he says slowly.
“He’s a spinal surgeon,” Kate tells Colin, “you know, so he has to have steady hands, Colin. Get it?”
Colin looks over at Kate and raises his eyebrows. “You’re really pretty,” he mutters in response.
“Colin!” Steph gasps, trying not to laugh.
“She is!” Colin insists.
“Wow,” Kate says slowly.
Colin turns his head and looks at Kate. “You are.”
“Thanks...?” Kate laughs.
“Yep,” Colin replies cheerily, taking another swig off the flask. “...I’m empty.”
“I’ll get it,” Steph offers quickly, before Colin can try to stand, and she takes his flask away, heading into the kitchen. She returns pretty quickly and hands Colin a half-filled flask of Jack Daniels.
“We have to switch clothes,” Jack says to Steph as she sits down beside him again.
“Yeah? Damn...” Steph laughs, standing back up again as Jack stands, too, and the two of them switch jeans. Jack has a hard time pulling Steph’s jeans on, but he manages to get them up, finally; he just can’t zip or button them.
“Looks good, Doc,” Sawyer laughs.
“Yeah, thanks,” Jack laughs.
Steph giggles and sits back down, practically swimming in Jack’s jeans. She rubs her hands together quickly and leans forward, biting down lightly on her own slightly protruding tongue, her face screwed with concentration as she finds herself a somewhat safe block to pull. A few minutes of cautious prodding later, and Steph looks down at her block, blushing heavily. “Oh man....” she laughs. “‘Touch yourself inappropriately...” she reads, setting the block gently down on the top of the Jenga tower.
The group all laughs with her.
“Did she just say what I thought she did?” Marcus asks Warren, eyebrows raised.
Warren looks over Marcus’s shoulder and nods as Steph slides her hand up Colin’s tee-shirt and grabs her own chest, shaking her head and blushing hard.
“Looks that way,” Warren replies, blushing slightly and looking back down at his hand of cards.
“Gross,” Marcus sighs, setting down a card to contend with Warren’s.
Colin takes another swig of his flask and grins, reaching haphazardly toward the block and getting lucky when he yanks out a loose block, the tower only swaying a little. “‘Make a rule.’ Okay...I don’t have to kiss anybody, even if someone else’s block says so,” he says, setting the block back on the tower. “Unless it’s Kate, I guess,” he slurs drunkenly, grinning stupidly at her.
“Wow...” Kate laughs again, biting her bottom lip and grinning as she shakes her head.
“Noted,” Jen laughs.
Sawyer takes his next block and reads it aloud, setting it back down on the tower. He takes a drink, just as the block has ordered and looks over at Ruth.
“Okay,” Ruth says slowly and takes her block. “‘Pass one,’” she reads, “Kate.”
Kate nods and takes a drink as Ruth puts her block back and Charlie reaches over for his turn.
“‘I Never,’” he reads, setting the block back on the tower carefully, “I never...wore women’s clothes...” he says with a grin. All of the girls sigh and drink, joined by Colin and Jack.
“I don’t know if I can...” Nikki says, looking at the ridiculously tall tower. “I can’t believe it hasn’t fallen yet...”
“Just do it,” Charlie groans.
Nikki does. “It’s a free one,” she says, showing the group and putting the block back.
“Here goes,” Paul slurs a little as he takes his turn. “‘Make a...’ aw dammit!” he shouts.
“Please God, don’t be ‘make a sex noise’ again...” Marcus whispers to Warren, who grins and shakes his head.
Paul just sets the block back down on the tower and lets out a low groan, creating a new round of giggles from the girls and hearty laughs from the guys.
“Shut up,” Paul mutters, grimacing as Jen reaches toward the tower.
“Oh sh*t!” she shouts as it wobbles precariously. She moves her hand away quickly, but it’s too late. The tower tumbles and falls, crashing onto the coffee table.
“Game over,” Steph laughs.
“Take the shot, Princess,” Sawyer says, taking the shot off the coffee table and handing it to her.
Jen grimaces as she knocks it back and then her face morphs into a hideous expression of distaste as she hands back the shot.
“We’ve gotta go to bed,” Ruth says, looking over at the clock... “it’s like one in the morning and our Challenge is in ten hours...”
“Whoa...” Nikki says, looking at the clock, too, “you’re right! G’night guys!”
“Who’s helping me clean up?” Jen asks quickly.
“Who cares? Leave it for tonight, Princess,” Sawyer spits as he stands and takes Ruth’s hand, helping her up.
Jen looks down at the mess in front of her and shrugs. She’s too drunk to care, quite honestly. “Okay, well...goodnight then...”
A chorus of “goodnight”s ring out through the room as the group disbands and heads to their respective sleeping quarters to get the best night’s sleep they can before their Challenge in the morning.
“I give up, it’s late,” Warren says. “You win.”
“Fair,” Marcus replies, setting his hand down on the table and standing. He and Warren follow the others out of the Community Room hut and head to bed, hoping that they can still get enough sleep to be energized for the morning’s Challenge. _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me
