The Amazing Adventures of Aislynn

Episode 1x08: Dial D for Death.

Day 53: Some weird… place.

Aislynn, Nate, Vicky, Colin and Josh Holloway paddled around to try and get to a piece of land they could see in the distance.

“I’ve never swam since I was 12 and now I’m spending my whole day in water!” said Aislynn, keeping her head up long enough to speak.

“Stop complaining!” sighed Colin.

“Complaining?” replied Aislynn. “Who’s complaining? I’m loving this!”

As the group got closer, they grew tired. “Almost there…” gasped Nate. “I need…water!”

“Water?!?” asked Colin. “We’re in the damn ocean!”

“You can’t drink seawater, idiot!” replied Nate.

“Yes, you can.” Said Colin. “I’ve heard it gives you lots of strength.”

“Oh, really?” asked Nate. He took a gulp of the salty ocean water, then spat it back out, disgusted.

Colin burst into laughter. “You are so gullible!”

Nate frowned. “It’s not funny! I could’ve died!”

“Oh, please!” replied Colin.

Then, just as the piece of land came into better view, a light came on. It was a small boat. A luggage boat!

“You folks lost yer’ way?” asked a man on the boat.

Aislynn opened her mouth to reply, but a voice interrupted her. If you could call it a voice…

“Snort!”

Aislynn brightened up. “Boone!” She jumped onto the boat as the others followed.

The sailor looked at them.

“So he’s yours?” he asked.

Aislynn nodded.

The sailor smiled. “I’m Paul, by the way.” They shook hands. Nate decided they could trust the man, and told him about their amazing adventure so far. Paul loved every bit of it.

“Wow!” said Paul. “You guys live very interesting lives!”

“You’d be guaranteed an interesting life if you joined us!” laughed Josh.

“Well, why not?” said Paul cheerfully. “I doubt these people really need their luggage!”

“So…” said Vicky. “Shall we still head for that piece of land over there?”

“You mean the Bialmene islands?” asked Paul. “That was gonna be my next break. There’s a nice little town there called Boganville.” He said, ignoring Nate’s laughter.

So they quickly got to the Bialmene islands. However, trouble awaited them…

As soon as Colin stepped foot on the island, he heard something strange. “Do you hear that?” he asked.

Paul paused. “Sounds like drums!” he said quietly. “Drums from an army!”

“Oh no.” said Nate and Aislynn together. “The Marci!”

“The who?” asked Josh.

“We can’t explain right now, we’ll tell you later!” snapped Nate.

The Marci came into view. There was an awkward silence.

“Cool.” Said Paul slowly. The others stared at him. “Well, ya gotta admit, it’s not something ya see every day!”

Dial-up emerged from the Army. “PREPARE TO FIGHT!” he yelled.

The Marci ran and began attacking the gang. A bunch of ten Marci attempted to take down Josh Holloway, but he knocked them out with great fury.

Boone ran around frantically through all the noise. A Marci spotted him.

“Come here, little piggy!”

Paul turned his head to see Boone about to be stabbed by a Marci. He dived in front of the Marci, just in time…

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” he yelled.

Vicky watched him. “Stop with the damn slow motion routine and save the damn pig!”

Paul suddenly jumped to save the pig, simply saying “No!” very quickly. “Damn.” Said the Marci. “And I would’ve killed it too if he had have stayed in slow motion!”

Several Marci had given up, and headed for the hills. It looked like victory was near! But out came Dial-up, with a large knife, sharp as death itself. He aimed it for the closest person to him… Paul! Paul dropped Boone, who ran off just as the knife was thrown.

There was no time for Paul to do anything.

But there was time for someone else to.

Colin slid past and grabbed Paul’s ankles, sending Paul down out of the knife’s reach.

A Marci grabbed Colin as the knife hit the ground. Dial-up picked up the knife again, and threw it right into Colin’s heart.

Aislynn watched as Colin’s dead body was dragged off by the evil army.

“I hate Dial-up.” Growled Aislynn.

Well, maybe I didn't literally yell the NOOOOOOOOOO part. But I thought it REALLY hard!

*goes to sharpen knife*

Dial-up: Threatening me with a knife? Hah! That's a good way to get yourself permanently offline, toots!

Aislynn: Oh, yeah, huh? Uhhhhhhhh...

*menaces Dial-up with a serving spoon instead*

Dial-up: Ooo, I'm so scared I think I'll disconnect you for a while.

Aislynn: NOOOOOOOOOOOO---

And I'm glad you both liked it. I was hoping it'd trick you thinking "who's gonna die?", since it seemed all of them were doomed. Glad that worked.

You'll see. Next ep there will be a tiny bit of people feeling sad about you, but it's a comedy so I move that along fast. Then in about five eps they realise something extremely shocking about your death. And I'm not gonna tell you.
