The Amazing Adventures of Aislynn

Episode 1x13: The Truth Comes Out - Part Two.

Day 60: Paris Airport.

“Yes.” Said Colin. “It is I.”

The Marci cheered, until Colin shouted.

“SILENCE!” he yelled. “Let the people hand their welfare to us!”

“What the hell, Potter?” asked Nate. “Why are you talking like an English snob?”

“Sorry.” Said Colin. “I’ve been trying to adapt the French accent but keep on sounding like something else.”

“Right…” said Aislynn. “Anyway, on a more important matter, aren’t you sposed to be dead?”

“Ah, yes.” Said Colin. “That is a wonderful story. You see, when the knife was thrown at me, I didn’t exactly die…”

“What?” asked Vicky. “You were stabbed in the heart!”

“Err…sort of.” Said Colin.

“Colin,” said Josh. “Did ya get stabbed or didn’t ya?”

“Well…” said Colin slowly. “I was stabbed, but it only went in as deep as my ribs. The Marci fixed me up, sensing my wise leadership…”

“Leadership?” blurted Aislynn. “You only got us through Bakawesh, where we found there was no airport!”

“It’s Bangladesh!” said Colin angrily. Nate sniggered. “Anyway…” continued Colin. “They brought me back, and I was given an option of whether to be killed and to ‘go to a better place’, or to join forces with ‘em.”

“How could you, Colin?” asked Vicky, annoyed.

“Hey, it’s really cool being a bad guy!” said Colin, grinning. “You should try it some time!”

Nate shrugged and went to grab a large piece of metal from a plane nearby. He aimed it towards Vicky…

“Nate, no!” said Aislynn, Josh, Vicky and Paul. Could Nate possibly be following Colin’s ways?

Nate suddenly turned and threw the metal in the other direction, where he hit Dial-Up in the head. Dial-Up got up, fuming with anger, and headed towards the group.

Josh jumped, and Aislynn, Vicky and Nate followed. Paul looked around and realised he hadn’t jumped with them. Dial-Up tackled him to the ground, then picked him up by his shirt.

“Give us the money,” said Colin. “Or we’ll kill Paul.”

Paul gulped.

“Oh no…” began Vicky. “We’ll give you…”

“Kill him!” said Aislynn.

“What?!?” asked everyone surrounding her.

“Kill him.” Repeated Aislynn. “Go on, kill Paul!”

“Very well…” said Colin. “If that’s what it takes…to show you how serious we are…”

Colin grabbed a spear from one of the Marci, and aimed it at Paul. Paul shivered, scared for his life. Colin picked it up…

“I can’t do it!” screamed Colin.

Aislynn smiled happily. “Oh? And why not?”

“I…err…” Colin spoke nervously. “I don’t wanna harm you guys!”

Dial-Up stared at Colin with great anger in his eyes. “WHAT?!?!?”

“I’m sorry, sir.” Said Colin. “You can kill him if you want to.”

Aislynn suddenly frowned. She hadn’t expected that. She had expected that Colin would leave the Marci and come back to them, along with Paul. But he was just going to get his master to do the killing?

“You’re not getting the money!” said Vicky.

“Excuse me?” asked Dial-Up.

“Even if you kill Paul… we won’t give you the money!”

They were stuck now. There was no point in killing anyone if they wouldn’t get the money.

“Very well…” said Dial-Up. He threw Paul onto the ground, then shouted. “Get them!”

The Marci ran towards the group with spears. They all ran off, but the Marci quickly turned, and jumped onto Vicky. It looked like they were going to get away with stealing the fifty thousand dollars. But it seemed that wasn’t all. They grabbed Vicky, then ran off with her in their arms.

Aislynn, Nate, Josh and Paul stood behind a group of pillars.

“Oh, no.” whispered Aislynn. “Why do they want Vicky too?”

“I don’t think they found the cheque in her pockets.” Said Josh. “So they’ve just taken her with them so they can search her for it.”

“Yeah,” Nate nodded. “That must be what happened.”

“What makes you so sure?” asked Aislynn.

Nate lifted up a large white cheque. “This is why.”

Aislynn grinned. “Great! But we still need to get Vicky back!” she drooped back down again.

“I think I may know where she is.” Said Paul.

“Where?” the rest of the group asked.

“Follow me.” Said Paul.

Please guys, if the show does ever show any signs of going downhill, please tell me. But I didn't think the last two eps were my best work, but thats cos I've been busy with Bronzefinger.

*gasp* For a second there, I thought that I'd turned evil! Whew!

And absolutely no talk of going down hill, Marcus! 'Cause, first of all, this is a GREAT fic! And second of all, well, I don't like talking about hills. It makes me think of phrases like Over the hill and stuff like that. Then I feel all old. And sad. And sadly old. And oldly sad.

Take this sage bit of advice from a writergal who's been doing this for probably longer than you've been alive: *deliberately DOES NOT do the math in her head * Don't worry about what people are thinking about your writing. Write for the enjoyment of it and that will come through and people will enjoy it as well. When you get caught up in worrying if one chapter's maybe not as good as another or if the response for one chapter wasn't as big as the response for another... *sigh* That road leads to writer's block. Just ask me. I'm on Year 3 of the worst writer's block I've ever had in my life!
