I'm no Skater and I hate the triangle, but I have to say I don't think kate following Sawyer was 'skate' related. I think she went because she wanted help finding Claire, and her crying was the culmination of what a mistake she's made with her life. She even says getting Claire and Aaron back together is what she hopes will fix everything. I think tho it was a Sawyer and Kate scene, it was more a Suliet scene and even Jate to an extent. Sawyer had happiness with Juliet, kate had it with jack, and its all screwed up now. I'd cry too! Hell, I did! And I think the scene where kate leaves and sawyer didn't even look at her was VERY poignant in their relationship. I just hope Kate doesn't go back to Jack and she actually goes to find Claire. Season 1 Kate would just do it herself, not ask for anyone's help.

I really hope that's the case Kat. It would be nice to see Kate find a way to save Claire from her infection.

The absence of Flocke, Richard, Sun will probably be next week, and we'll see less Claire :S I guess that's the way it goes when you have a cast so big! yet they never run out of places to show Jack, kate and Sawyer :S

This episode kind of reminded me of the Season 3 episodes with Kate and Sawyer stuck in cages. It seemed like it was a stalling episode and I just don't get why they would have an episode like that in the FINAL SEASON.

I'm hoping its a lead off point. Like last year, we only found out in ep 11 that Kate was coming back to find Claire and she didnt do anything to actually find her, and now we hit the point again along with the Jack/Claire sibling thing in ep 3, so hopefully it's going to lead somewhere and not just dwindle away.

Quite liked it. I'm glad Sawyer finally owned up to why he got with Juliet in the first place, although it in no way makes up for the way they butchered her character last season. I never bought Suliet, and I really hope there's going to be some closure to the Juliet/Rachel thing in future episodes, or at least something where Juliet isn't just a sidenote to someone else's drama. The whole Kate/Sawyer meant-to-be-alone thing is hella tragic and all, and I want them to be finally get together and be happy like you wouldn't believe, but I love my Jules and wish she'd had her own arc rather than dying so a man could feel guilty. Blah.

Also: Claire's wig was absolutely freaking terrible, and wtf at the adoptive mum not calling to say "hey, we're cancelling our baby order, just so you know!" Many lulz at Kate dumping Jack and the others at the temple to go do her own thing (finally!).

I don't understand why people thought that the triangle stoyline would end now that Kate has "something else to do". The triangle is Kates story. Sawyer and Jack have been able to have other stories while still remaining part of the triangle story. Kate is the same. I know there are people who hate the storyline, but I'm not going to pretend I feel the same, cause I really don't.

I watched it as a Skater, my friend watches it with no prefence and he acually pointed something out that I just ignored the full episode. Kate was leaving the temple, and had not one intention of going back. And she gave Jack nothing. She told him "you take care of Sayid, I'll take care of James". Even when he told her to be safe, she just turned and left.

Then in the jungle, Jin aks, "who do you care about, Kate?". And she still keeps walking.

When he saw him in the house and walked away. The look on her face was heartbreaking. That was the look of a woman who was hurting.

"I made her stay on this island, cause I didn't wanna be alone." Looks at Kate:"you understand that,right?"

*cue me crying like a little baby*
So he's basically admitted to Kate, "I convinced her to stay because you left, get it?".

Sawyer was with Juliet because he couldn't be with Kate, and now Jules is dead. Kate left Jack behind with the others with no intention of returning so that her and sawyer could "figure sometihng out together".

Sawyer if grieving, as he should. He feels guilt. Remember the last conversation we seen them having was Juliet telling him that he would stay with her through loyalty. And that she knew he loved Kate.


I don't see why they would tarnish a brilliant character(Juliet), have her admit to herself and Sawyer that Sawyer still had feelings for Kate, have her die. then an hour after she dies, have a Skate moment (so similar to What Kate Did it was scary) with their theme playinh, have her leave Jack behind, follow Sawyer, have him then admit the real reason the wanted Juliet to stay.........for no reason.

I've been hoping for a Juliet/Rachel reunion since the third season If only she could have gotten off with the 06 somehow.

You know I'm a big skater but I'm just putting that to the back of my mind right now because I don't expect anything to happen. We will always have I do and I don't see anything ever topping that episode anywho.

i loved the ep. there are things i wouldve preffered more of like more focus of mythology, flocke ben, richard, the island etc but character relationships are always great too. just wish sometimes it wouldnt seem like one or the other, but understandable. awesome ep still :p

yea the dock sene had so many layers lol.
when saywer was talking of engagement, her broken one with jack is still kinda fresh so its ntaural shed be introspective about that too and then the juliet guilt of course. it was a great scene.

I would have loved it so much if Juliet had got off the island with the 06 and been reunited with Rachel. It would have been awesome to watch Jack try to convince her that they HAVE TO GO BACK ZOMG.

I think maybe something might happen in the other timeline? I can't see how they'll fit romance into the island story right now, aside from stuff like S/K on the dock, which is more angst than romance, and it's starting to look like everyone there's going to die anyway, haha, so I'm rooting for Sawyer and Kate to get it together in the altverse. Or do people who die on the island switch over to the altverse? Seems like that's what happened to Juliet, anyway? Woe, confusion.
