However, the problem that lies within that statement is as soon as the question was addressed and answered, it should have been placed on the front page, like you did earlier to cover your tracks and make it seem like Sam was just some troublemaker who didn't bother to read.

The fun factor disappears when people pour their heart into a video only for them to realize that it's now useless because of negligent moderation.

Actually no, backhanded really fits the way that Im feeling about it, because every single time that Im seeing one of these nitpicking comments (not just from you, mind you.) it makes me want to backhand someone...so other than that I will chalk it up to being after 4am...and will now adhere to Kat's calm down post. Its not really worth it to respond again.

And yes, when we make a clarification on a rule, we try to update the main post right away. I'm sorry that it didn't get done with this one as it normally would've been done. However, that's not a cause to attack us. The contest ARE supposed to be for fun but it seems as if every month people get more and more upset about them.

This arguing needs to end now. And Erin, like you should've read by now, Kat didn't try to cover her tracks and I think she deserves an apology for that statement. Actually, I think she deserves one from Sassy and Samara as well.

Wow, Ais. I'm sorry. :s That wasn't passive aggressive, I'm surprised that it was my post that was picked out as most aggressive here. That was meant to be a peacekeeping type of comment. Like I said, I had to just go ahead and post before too much more was said, so I had to just go with what I already had typed up. I didn't get the chance to go ahead and respond to all of the other accusations because I wanted it to be clear that Kat did NOT edit that post and then try to act like it was there all along. I did it but didn't stop to check the back end of this post to see the argument starting up.

Anyway, no, your comment didn't end up being the most passive aggressive, it simply was at the time when I started writing.

I really should've known that was what was going on though because pretty much every month any more there is some sort of unhappiness over the contests. It's extremely frustrating on our end because we try our best to come up with something fun every month and it seems no matter how hard we try, it's not good enough. There's always something that somebody's unhappy about. Granted, I know that it being frustrating on our end isn't supposed to matter to anybody...

Anyway, I don't want to keep the argument going so let's just let it end here.

Thank you Ais for clearing that up. That being said, I will apologize to Kat for assuming that she "covered her tracks". However, I will not apologize for anything else that has been said. I'm sick of her attitude towards vidders and I'm really disgusted with what this forum has become. It's no longer a site of fairness and equality, but more about favortism voting, vengeful voting and contests that are judged by the same who are entering, making the judging not the least bit fair or impartial. I also don't appreciate the rudeness from fellow vidders who seem to be kissing ass in order to make it to being a CM. I'm constantly surprised at how the vidders are treated, when we are the only reason this site exists. Sure, you can make a site and make CMs, but the vidders are your site traffic and the ones who contribute. And I for one am absolutely fed up with it. I'm not going to contribute to this site any longer. I have no problem whatsoever with taking my videos elsewhere and/or never making another one again. I have a deployed husband to worry about and a psychotic dog to look after. Trust me, I won't miss it.

I will say I'm sorry to Kat as well. I still have no idea why I didn't see the trailer part when I looked at it before, but clearly, it had nothing to do with Kat. I have nothing against her in general, I just have been going through some really stressful online situations as well as things in irl and I'm sorry if that spilled onto here a bit.

Wow...what a spiteful response, which I'm sure will be defended to the death by your buddies. I'm really sick of those who have turned this place into the place that they are accusing everyone else of turning it into. And as for the rudeness of someone who is kissing ass in order to make it to being a CM, you know I didn't know that having an opinion that was similar with their friends was kissing ass. I am one that doesn't distinguish between who are my friends and who are CMs...if I did I would alienate a little more than half of my favorite people here. As for being a future CM...if I were given the opportunity to join the council I wouldnt hesitate. I find it to be one of the greatest groups that Ive met here...a comment I'm sure that will be seen as more ass kissing...and not the truth.

Well, I'm definitely sorry you feel that way, Erin, I really am. I find it sad that you're accusing us of unfair voting because if you only knew how many people here we've caught doing just that, voting up their friends, ranking up quickly by soliciting votes, voting down the people they don't like. But because we're not in the business of shaming people publicly, we don't tell you guys about it, we deal with it quietly.

We've always tried to be good mods here. Other sites have policies that if you insult or otherwise abuse the mods, you get temporarily banned, no questions. Here we let things slide all the time because we like keeping our friendly atmosphere. But I was not going to let this go this time because, whether you liked what Kat was saying or not, the three of you ganged up on her. I'd be a fairly bad admin if I didn't say a word about that, now wouldn't I?

Anyway, I wish you luck in the future, if you ever change your mind then know that you and your vids will certainly be welcome here. However, if that's really what you do think about us and this site, then you'll probably be happier without us. I hope that you get the opportunity in the future to manage a site like this and then you'll see that, no matter what you do or how hard you try to figure out things so that it's fair across the board to everyone, somebody's still going to call you names and think you're a bunch of cheating morons. It's sad but apparently true. All I can tell you is that we try, we try hard to keep this site fun and fair. We do it out of love for this community that we've all built here and it's just sad to hear your opinion of us. I really don't know what more to say beyond that, other than again, to wish you well.

Wow, am I one of the buddies? :S I wasn't saying anything to that, nor did I plan to. Just like you said having a similar opinion to the CM's doesn't make it kissing ass, having a similar opinion to Samara and Erin (before about the trailers and such) doesn't make me a terrible person, or them. *quietly steps out*
