Daniel Dae Kim is in Hawaii Five-0. I did not know this. (Also Madison the werewolf from Supernatural is in this episode but only Supernatural fans will care about this. ) _________________

Yeah I knew he was in that only because I help with a Buffy site and we post news about Daniel because he was in a few of Angel's season 3 and maybe 4, and it was posted there. |

lol I knew about DDK on Hawaii 5-0, it's amusing to see him not as Jin though. xD
Jorge Garcia is going to be on next week's ep of "How I Met Your Mother" as an old college buddy of theirs! |

I recently saw Flipped which has Madeline Carroll, she played Annie in The Man Behind the Curtain.
I really enjoyed this story, the acting was really great too. Good cast as well. A lot more unheard of actors or actors who haven't been in the spotlight in a while like Aidan Quinn, Rebecca De Mornay, Penelope Ann Miller, and Anthony Edwards (Most would know him as Dr. Greene on ER and for some of you NERDS out there; Revenge of the Nerds. ).
Juli Baker devoutly believes in three things: the sanctity of trees (especially her beloved sycamore), the wholesomeness of the eggs she collects from her backyard flock of chickens, and that someday she will kiss Bryce Loski. Ever since she saw Bryce's baby blues back in second grade, Juli has been smitten. Unfortunately, Bryce has never felt the same. Frankly, he thinks Juli Baker is a little weird--after all, what kind of freak raises chickens and sits in trees for fun? Then, in eighth grade, everything changes. Bryce begins to see that Juli's unusual interests and pride in her family are, well, kind of cool. And Juli starts to think that maybe Bryce's brilliant blue eyes are as empty as the rest of Bryce seems to be. After all, what kind of jerk doesn't care about other people's feelings about chickens and trees? With Flipped, mystery author Wendelin Van Draanen has taken a break from her Sammy Keyes series.. |

I should note that Flipped got a very good review from Ebert, who generally hates cheesy kids' movies (I know, he likes a lot of stuff, but he has a good cornball detector, if you will.) So that's a nod in its favor!
(PS no mention of Fast Times at Ridgemont High?) _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

I wouldn't view it as a cheesy kids movie though.
He also liked Ramona and Beezes too. Which kind of is a cheesy kids movie; but I rather enjoyed it.
It's also based on a book; but the book is set in the present; and the film based it in 1962. |

Hence my point -- if it were a load of syrupy sweetness and treacle, he'd have trashed it a la North. (Which is a hilarious review, by the way...) ETA: However, judging from his recent reviews of kid-oriented films, The Nutcracker in 3D (yes) is now firmly on my holiday viewing list -- for all the wrong (right?) reasons. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. Been looking up a lot of Emily Rae footage recently (she played li'l Kate in the Incident) as she plays the young version of my SPN OC... she did a really good job in Private Practice, and she's been on quite a few Jimmy Kimmel sketches too _________________

Glad! I heard the book was good. The movie is set in the 60's. 1962 I believe; and it's really good. I think you'd like it. |

I want to know if he hired her before or after Lost. He's SUCH a good Lost fan. |
