oops I just noticed that I put 2007 December contest instead of December 2007 in the subject line for my entry so its not with the other contests vids. I"ll go fix that and can someone make sure it gets in there?

- How to submit a video and indicate that it belongs to a specific compititon
-How to vote or rate any video

Hey there, Lost_Engineer! To answer your questions:

1. You submit contest vids in the same manner as you do regular vids, through the Submit page on the main site. In the rules for each contest, we tell you what to put in the description field; in the case for this contest, we ask that you put "December 2007 contest submission" exactly as written (though without the quotation marks

) and that will automatically insure that it gets sent to the proper contest. You can check the contest page itself to make sure that it shows up there (here are the December entries so far, for example).

2. To vote on any vid, go to the page for that vid on the main site. If you're looking at it from the forum, then just click the name of the vid in the first post and that will take you to the post on the main site where the YouTube link is embedded (if there's one available). Scroll down and you'll see where it says "Vote!" and you have the option of picking Gold, Silver, Bronze or None. There's an automatic reason that will appear and you can leave it or choose to add to it or change it. Then you just click submit (you may have to refresh the page again to see your vote).

Hopefully that all makes sense! If anything seems to go wrong with either submitting contest vids, with voting or with anything else, don't hesitate to contact a Council Member and we'll be glad to help you!

hey if you go on the main site and there should be a tab that says submit click that
and if you also go to the first post it should give you additional info on the contest about what you should put in the description.

To vote for a video when you click the video on the main page and you get the page with comments and (if a youtube link has been given) the video there should be a smaller box underneath it should say: gold pick, silver pick, bronze pic. Then just click on the pick you want to give and then when the page loads agen if should show what you have awarded that person, if not then refresh your page and then it should
