I think I'm going to do a video with "My Grown-Up Christmas List," narrated by Claire. (She's the one writing the Christmas list.) Is it weird for a newbie like me to enter a contest. I'm thinking I won't win anything, but they video will be fun to do.

Hey! I was a newbie and I entered the August 2007 contest! Don't worry about things like that, anyone can enter, you could be the best or worst vidder in the world and still enter. It's really fun and enjoyable, and your idea sounds cool.

I entered in the Halloween contest and got third place, and had only joined two months before. I vidded a tiny bit before, but didn't know ANYTHING even about WMM (obvious from some of my old YT vids), so I really started vidding about 4 1/2 months ago or so. So would I be considered a newbie too? No worries. Anyone can enter, and you'll probably get better because of it. I love that song btw.

I may do the island of misfit toys....but I may just skip this altogether as well. I often do that with contests. xD I have sooo much going on.

I agree with the others. You should definitely give it a try. The contests are about having fun and coming up with some cool ideas you may not have thought of otherwise. We always love to have new vidders participating in the contests. You're more than welcome to give it a go!

Hmm... if I wasn't so busy trying to do my Xmas entry for the Christmas contest over at SVS, I'd be a lot more inclined to give this a go.

In fact... I think I could if it only has to be 1 - 3 minutes in length. I've got the perfect music on my computer... and an idea.

hey i have a question, would it be ok to use non lost footage but with like lets say footage with Josh from Whisper?? Like live footage of the cast thats not from lost???
