OMG!
I've just watched the episode! And i can't believe...that was maybe the longest flashback but it was totaly awesome!
I don't want Charlie to die i really like him!!!!
During the first 5 minutes of the flashback i was like:"Omg what's happening?" but after the story with Charlie singing it became quite clear what was happening....
And who said that Lost is really "lost"?After this episode i think that LOST is deffinitely among the best tv shows ever _________________ It’s been a long year

Well.. I half agree. One time I sung When The Sun Goes Down by Arctic Monkeys at the top of my lungs. But then again, they either have a british person as cockney or middle class. They never have someone with a NORMAL accent. heh. Charlie doesn't count as he is from up north and their accents are just.. weird.
(i'm allowed to say that btw ^ my dads northern ) _________________

Hah. See! Even the scottish get stereotyped in Lost. Not every scotsman plays golf!!!!!!!! When will the madness end?! _________________

I think Desmond only said that because the Scottish invented golf ... or at least that's what my brother told me.
So, this episode ....
It totally rocked my socks. And, that's not an exaggeration.
Okay, when I heard this was a Desmond episode, I was hoping for "good" or "okay," and pessimist that I am, I expected "crappy."
I was way, way, wrong.
Desmond/Penny flashbacks ... more beautiful and tragic than ever! I think my heart skipped a beat during their break-up scene and I'm really not that emotional when it comes to TV/movies. It's so cliched (princess and pauper), but they pull it off SO well. The Des/Penny theme music is SO moving, too...
And I agree with the flashbacks. I was taken aback because they were so long and it didn't seem to go back and front (between the island and the flashbacks), but it worked QUITE well.
I hate Charles Widmore. I half wished Desmond would punch him in the face! But alas...
I loved the drinking scene. I thought it was so funny.
I loved the ending too! I was immediately thinking "Darlie!" I'm a sicko... But it was really unexpected and a nice twist!
The whole episode gave me a "It's a Wonderful Life" feeling (minus the happy ending, of course.) The whole thing with Desmond wishing to go back was very George Bailey. But I didn't mind ... I was too busy having sympathy for the poor guy...
And while everyone was thinking of Final Destination, I was thinking of Dead Like Me, but, hey, same difference...
From what I've read people have liked this ep and I know this has already become one of my favorite episodes. So why did I find this article. Let's hope it was just the day that gave it such bad ratings... _________________

A lot to do with Valentines Day I'd say, but also I think Lost has definitely lost ground (haha ) overall. At one time everyone I knew was watching it, and now the masses have slipped away and only me and couple of my mates are watching it because we're fans.
Its all-consuming hook seems to have dried up, and I'm not surprised because it has now turned into a fan show where you have to keep up, and it's really settled in now compared to what it was 2 years ago. I dunno, we'll see, but ultimately it's not a show people will just drop into.
Lost is good, but it's not the best TV show ever. The X-files holds that accolade *waits for rocks to start raining down on me* _________________
