JULY 2008
Contest: Ju-LIE
Deadline: August 4th - extended!

The Details

The future of the Oceanic 6 has been based on a lie; and so has this month's contest. We all know our losties love to lie. Charlie lied about knowing there was heroin in the Virgin Mary statue, Sawyer lied his way out of prison and Kate's pre-crash life seems to be one lie after another - so we want you do make a vid about a Lost lie! Perhaps Locke lying about what really happened to Boone? Sun lying about knowing how to speak English? What lie sticks out to you? The creation of the lie, putting it in action and the fallout (if there is one) - we want it all!

The Rules

Specific Contest Rules:

* -Pick a lie/s from the show and centre a video around it. The planning of the lie, putting it in action and the fallout. (No AU lies, please. Only lies that actually occurred in the show.

)
* -The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
* -Running time should be no longer than 5 minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
* -When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "July 2008 contest submission" exactly in your vid's Description.

General Contest Rules:

* -Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page
* -All regular submissions Rules apply.
* -Only one entry per vidder
* -Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
* -Please do not use Megaupload, Rapidshare or Yousendit to host your files.
* -Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available for download at least until the end of the month. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
* -Have fun!

Yeah, I was wondering that too, Kat. Can we make up a lie?

I was thinking about doing something like, in Eggtown, when Kate told Sawyer she wasn't pregnant, she was actually lying all the fallout that comes from when the truth finally comes out etc.

Awesome that you guys are already thinking of ideas, but we all think that since we just had a contest with an AU quality; we'd really like you to stick with actual lies in the show. AU lies didn't even enter our minds when organizing this one becuase there are plenty of lies to use in Lost. Making your own lie takes away from the 'contest' element in that you can create everything you need to. If you use an existing lie; its more difficult; hense more of a competition. And there are loads of lies in Lost that we'd love to see in vid-form!
