Oh boy, I love Desmond!!!! He saved Claire's life twice now! He's my hero.
Is it weird that I see more of my ship now, during the hiatus then during the regular season? btw, my ship is PB&J (not Daire) regardless of how much I love Desmond. I may be not a Daire shipper but I would love for Claire to have interaction with someone else than Charlie and Locke for a change!

That's a good thought and I would guess so myself, too. I'm wondering though why Claire was in the water. Most likely not to go for swim, huh?

Daire blows. I'm gonna be seriously pissed if Daire actually happens and Charlie gets screwed by the creators, AGAIN. I like Desmond, but not Daire. If Claire ditches Charlie for him then they deserve each other

As much as I love the idea of Claire and Desmond being together, I don't really think it will happen. First of all, it would make Claire look like a real b**** and also, there's still Penny who's looking for Desmond...

I agree with that.... I don't really like Daire (not surprisingly ) mainly because it would make two of my favorite characters look bad. If Claire starts to show an interest in Desmond it means she didn't really care that much about Charlie in the first place and she was leading him on when she kissed him...  and it would also make Desmond look bad if he takes interest in the cute young blond when his One True Love is still passionately looking for him. Also, I'm not sure if my Charliette heart could take seeing Charlie being abandoned again. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good Daire AU vid (as long as it stays AU )
What I would like to see though is a platonic relationship between Claire and Desmond. I said this before but Claire hasn't had much interaction with other character apart from Charlie. It would be nice to see her interact with someone else for a change. And according to the spoilers, there might be a lot of Charlie/Desmond interactions also.
There as scene that has been filmed for Desmond's flashback episode where we see him talk to a very young and clean-shaven Charlie in London. Desmond tries to convince Charlie that they met before and ask if he remembers the rain. Some people have speculated that the weird look Charlie gives Desmond at the end of Every Man for Himself might actually be Charlie recognizing Desmond from that London conversation. And of course there's the Charlie/Desmond fight shown in one of the Day Break promos. I think there's going to be a lot of Desmond/Claire/Charlie interaction in the upcoming episodes but I don't think it's going to be a "love triangle".

I find this, on the whole, offensive. Leading him on? I'm totally and completely surprised at this kind of thinking. She kissed Charlie. She's not married to Charlie. She's never even said she loved Charlie. What they have has really yet to be defined and is MOSTLY initiated by him. If she met someone else and for whatever reason fell for that person, Desmond or not. She'd be perfectly just in acting on that. Is this NOT the year 2006 or what?
Re: The Desmond Pen thing. How many years has he been on that island. A guy gets lonely right? I doubt she'd hold it against him anyway.
I don't even ship Daire nor do I think it will happen. But I think it's rediculous to hold these characters up so high. They're human and that's never wrong. It makes for good TV. So I say, bring on the Daire. Haha. |
