That was so cool I can't believe how amazingly that worked! Loved the story, the beat use, and the music lol. I'm actually partly amazed just by your choice of song because it really changed cues right at the perfect times for you to make this whole thing work (what with the whole chronological burden, huh? ). But maybe that was just your skill shining through . Probably .
Poor Mary all that and she just gets crushed and drowned.
Sweet vid. |

Thanks Warren! That's the third video I'm doing where I put a storyline in chronological order. I'm *so* obsessed!

Oh man, Cinthia, that was just tight! You do such awesomely crazycool things with beat use and just with storyline choice itself! *is soooooo impressed*
You made that work so effortlessly! (Although I would imagine there was quite a bit of effort on your part, of course! But you pulled it off so that it looked easy and natural! )
*applause, applause, applause*
Fantastic job! Loved the entire idea of following an object through chronologically like that but in the hands of a lesser vidder, it would've just been a novel idea. You made it shine! |

I've been looking forward to this ever since you came up with the idea in the contest idea thread, cylune, and as I expected it was awesome! You really made it feel like everything revolved around the statues, and I loved the way it all flowed through so perfectly in chronological order. The beat use was great and I loved how the music changed at the perfect time to go with the part of the story (doesn't matter if you edited the music, it was still you who chose which parts of the music to use ).
Awesome job, cylune, I love these chronological story vids. _________________

Lion King Music! Awesome job you showed the journey of the statue. You used the music really well at the right moments. _________________

Great idea!!! That was such a good video!!! I would have never thought to do a vid like that. It really worked with the song. And Mary went through a lot on that island. LOL |

Aislynn - Thanks so much! I guess after the contest I'm still in beat use mode!
Marcus - You got a great memory!! I'm glad I didn't disappoint you! You haven't seen the last of my chronological order vid!
Paul! - YES!!!! I so glad you caught it was music from The Lion King!! I love Hans Zimmer. He's a genius. Too bad Elton John and Tim Rice got almost all the credit for the Lion King music because the score by Hans Zimmer deserved more recognition. (well, he did won an oscar for it but it wasn't as much publicized ) _________________

Your editing was seamless! Every clip went perfectly with the beat.
And I'm amazed at how you made a 3:05 vid about a non-real character. Great work! |

That was genius!! The transition between crazy-sporadic to calm-sad was effortless and flawless (IMO). That was an awesome vid. Diffinitley a keeper
Hans Zimmer is one of my favorite artists ...he so should have won for "Gladiator" Anywho, awesome video, can't wait for your next one. _________________

Thanks xgene!
Hans Zimmer should have won for Gladiator, definitely (however, music from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon wasn't too shabby either! ). I bought the Gladiator score, it's amazing. Paul did 2000 videos for LVI using "We are Free". It's great. _________________

True, true, Tan Dun is a good composer, I prefer his score for "Hero" myself . Ooo, I'll definitley check out that vid, thanks for linking.
By the way, still an awesome vid lol, ok, I'll stop spamming your page. _________________

Wow, what a cool idea! I really enjoyed this vid. I guess I never really thought about the statues that much, but they do play a very important role, don't they? It took me a few minutes to stop having flashbacks of marching band in the beginning there... (*AWAYAFRICATHEMESENIORYEARAWAY!*) but I really, really enjoyed it, and like everyone else said, the beat use and the audio editing were phenomenal!
