Wow. This is the kind of vid that helps restore your faith in Lost. I really loved the yellowish effect on the clips, and all the ensemble editing.....you so surprisingly captured the Lostness in this vid.
I really enjoyed it- especially the little bits of monologue from Charlie and Locke. That had a real nice effect. _________________

I agree with DS about the monologues. They really added to the vid. The whole thing was really moving. I liked the part with the spinny camera shots of everyone. *applaudes you* |

And with the colors it felt like the sunny desert instead of the tropical juggle. And the song is just amazing! Good choice, it was a though one but you made it work! _________________

That was amazing. I would have to say my favorite parts were where you added the sound clips of some of the charecter talking. _________________

Marcus, you walked a fine line making this vid between absolutely inspiring and a montagey ensemble. At first, it seemed like the later, but then as it went by and the beat started picking up, and it got to the quotes, it felt really inspiring. When it got to the point where everybody started spinning (an idea I was planning to use at one point, but I think you're the first to beat me to it ), it just started feeling inspiring. As the others here said, it really is just the kind of vid that makes you feel good abotu Lost once again. I really liked how you handled it, as very few ensembles can still have a point like that, so in my book, this vid is a Gold. That's just my book though unfortunately |

Thanks everyone. I'm really happy I got 5th place, and I'm glad I made some people feel better about Lost...that wasn't really something I planned, since I'm one of the few people who thought season two was just as awesome as season one. But I'm still really pleased it did do that.
Sorry I used your idea, Hobbes...you probably could've done it way better, like made them all look like they were doing it at the same time or something. I just came up with it when I was thinking of the whole "circle" thing, and thought I could sorta make it seem like they were caught up in the circle of life. _________________

Nice vid, Marcus! The colouring is indeed wonderful, the voiceovers and scenes well chosen (especially towards the end of the vid). Keep up the great work. _________________

omg, i absolutly loved it!! its brilliant!! its my new favorite vid of all time!!!!
when i get to my other comp. im so gonna download it so i can watch it over and over and over again, lol.
I loved how you had that whole orange tint to the whole thing, it really gave it that african feel.
and all the circling clips closer to the end was brilliant, was it hard to find them all?
claire and the baby at the begining was great too. you know, i was watching and was just a little disapointed u didnt use the part where sawyer holds up the baby boar in season 1. it really reminded me of the end to the lion king, but still, your vid was great withought it. amazing, thanks for it!! _________________

Err...I'm hoping that's a good thing.

Actually I could only find three of them that went around the person's head completely. So I added some clips where the camera span around people's heads just a little bit. _________________

Gerbil, my little foul mouthed rodent! First off, where the heck have you been? I feel like I havent talked to you in ages!
Second, the song always gets me! When I first saw the whole premise for the contest, I thought, Phew! This just isn't something I can see happening! But it fit surprisingly well! Good choice and as always great editing form one of the best!
