In my recent search for clips of various kinds, I found these awesome sites that will not ONLY allow you to download whatever file is on the page, but then download it through them in AVI format!
Give 'em a try!

Happy hunting! _________________

Ooo, have you tried that and it works? Cause I'd love to have that George Bush singing "Sunday Bloody Sunday" vid PsychoCynic posted the link to a while back. Something about that just always makes me laugh! And that's some crazy, tedious editing, wasn't it?
Anyway, it always bummed out not to be able to keep it. That would be awesome if that really works! |

Thanks so much for these, Ruth! You find awesome things.
Um, would there be, by any chance, a program that converts YouTube vids into .wmv format. AVIs work fine when I just need to view a file but they won't work in my WMM vidding program for some reason. If you find such a program, that'd be great.
Thanks again and magnifico find. _________________

Im soo happy I found those! You cant imagine all the times I found perfect clips but they were on VIDEOgoogle or YOUTUBE- grrr!!!
Anyway, what I like to use:
Stoik Video Converter-
http://www.stoik.com/products/svc/
On that page you should see a freeware one (the one I use) and the pay one. The freeware never strops being free, so thats cool. So I suppose the only thing you could do is download in AVI format, then run it through that to get WMV format. Good luck! _________________

I think the 'George Bush singing "Sunday Bloody Sunday"' thing was on this british programe called Time Trumpet. Try and download it if you can. Its seriously funny. They do those things at the end of nearly every show I think _________________
