So I would really like to create my own banners and icons, but somehow it just doen`t work with my paint Shop Pro 9.

What programs do you use, and got any tips for me?

and I`'ve got one question, on some of your pics you got this one effect, like here(on the first pic from Jack an Kate):

How do you get them so gleaming???

And how do you cut the characters out of a pic, so you still havea good shape (OMG i really canÂ´t express myself, I hope you know what I mean

Well first thing's first I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0..... so if you can get a copy of that I can certainly advise you on the effects, although I only really know the basics, Harry (BtVS Freak) or Pauly (Polarbear) do some awesome fan art if you've seen.

But like I said I'll be willing to help you with the basics, if ya can get a copy of the program

Probably won't help... but I used to use paint, now I use Openoffice, and I cut my drawings out of paint.

I use photoshop cs2. Harry is better than me though I'm just a muddler with little clue on technique lol

well i just use Photoshop CS .... i think its pretty easy to understand and if you need any help just go to Good-Tutorials.com

yeh you can download photoshop ..... if you use torrents

there are probably other ways but if you just do a google search for photoshop 7.0 I'm sure there'll be quite a few links to get you to a free download

I use PSP 9...it works VERY well with fan art (you say it doesnt work for you? Why not?)

i recomend good-tutorials.com They have LOTS of tutorials and very easy to understand

I just use Paint and Windows Movie Maker for effects. The two make pretty good banners in my opinion.
