Okay just figured out yesterday that I have a problem with Vegas. I've been working on a vid on and off for the past few weeks and I went to go work on it yesterday and my eps wouldn't work for Vegas which is weird cause they're working fine for just watching. In Vegas it says that there was an error with the codecs which I also don't get because the eps worked before... so anyone have any clue on what's going on??

did you uninstall or install anything since the last time it worked, or did any trilas with any programs run out, such as Dr. Divx?

Has the directory to the episodes changed? That's the only thing I can think would cause that.

I had this problem and I use Vegas 6.0. It seems there may be a problem with loading eps after you have a number of clips in a project (possibly due to system memory) and it tends to freeze and then complain about missing codecs. I myself have approx 1764 MB of system ram and a 128MB video card.

The solution I found involves getting Dr. DIVX (it was in beta last I downloaded it ... which means it is free) then you need to convert the AVI files of the episodes to DIVX. Somehow no matter how many clips I used (for example in my Ana Lucia vid there were tons) I could still open a full episode on top of the project to pull yet more clips. At one point I had two full episodes and the vid project opened at once.

If you have questions as to what I mean about the conversion using Dr. DIVX ask me. I hope this works for you.

Glad to hear that you fixed it. If you don't mind my asking (and if it isn't too complicated) how did you fix it?
