Esau?
I was looking through my old books and I found a book from an old Church group when I was younger titled 'Jacob and Esau' and I was kind of like 'Woah'. LOL.

Yeh, that's what most people think I reckon we were talking about it a few months ago in another thread that I can't find right now, but yeah because of that Jacob/Esau brothers thing, that's what I think it'll be it'd be weird if it was something like Bob lol _________________

Everytime I think about the name Bob. I think of the movie "What about Bob?"
I didn't know there was a thread because I have been trying to stick away from spoiilers.
But the show drives on a religious aspect, and I picked this book up and I was like "Woah".
And then read that Esau wanted Jacob dead. I was like "Yeah this has to be him." LOL!
I am happy about the episode next week but considering what happened this past episode...I want to know what will happen! LOL.

I have to wonder why they have american accents if they are from so long ago. I reckon they are from the future so it's possible he has a name we are familiar with.
The biblical story of Jacob and Esau will only ever be a reference. To suggest that they are the literal incarnations of those brothers is silly imo. That's why I don't think he's Esau. And if it's just that they were named after them it's not really that big of a reveal. They're defintely holding it for a reason. _________________

It could also be the fact that they see so many American people come to the island.
That they accents faded.
I don't think they are the real Jacob and Esau, I just think it's references, like you think.
I think having MIB nameless makes him a little more scary. Or perhaps his name is something entirely different and they just want us to think it's Esau.

But they had the american accents back in 1800's when the black rock landed. Considering the fact they don't really ingratiate themselves with people on the island unlike Richard I don't think it's likely that they learned an accent. I don't really know enough but I imagine the american accent has changed a lot over time and even back in the 1800's it would be a lot different than how they spoke.
Spoiler:
In one of the sneek peeks from next week it looks like them as kids still with american accents.
