So I've told a few of you about this, but I figured I'd share the fruits of my labor with you all....
I'm gonna watch the premiere with my sister who made a request of me - bring cake!! When we watched the Season 5 finale, I brought a cake (store bought) because my friend was coming over too & it was his birthday so I got him a birthday cake.
I've wanted to make a Lost cake for awhile, so I decided to try & go for something easy, not too difficult. Did a boxed cake mix but made lemon curd for the middle. I got fondant to make the Dharma logo & icing for writing & the like.
Well, needless to say the idea I had in my head was an epic failure, but things still turned out okay....so in the spirit of our excitement for the premiere, I say unto you - Happy Lost Day & check out my awesome Dharma Cake!!!
Oh and if "INITIATIVE" looks weird, it's because I actually spelled it wrong halfway through. I had to scrape off the icing as best I could and start over
And here's a picture of the aftermath of the Dharma Cake (that's powdered sugar, btw):

Hehe, yeah - that'd be awesome Ais!
Unfortunately the lemon curd isn't IN the cake - I thought the cake would be big enough to slice in half & fill, but that turned out to not be the case. When I tried to get it out of the pan to put onto a cookie sheet to cut, it broke apart on me....
So lemon curd will be served on the side _________________
