Lost Video Island

After Charlie said that her account got taken down, I for one started being really careful when I uploaded my music videos/clips and STATED really CLEARLY (like that) that the clips did not belong to me, and belonged to CW/Fox/ABC/whoever.

But clearly, they're not caring or listening. They're just simply perminatley disabeling acounts. Eg, mine.

I actually hate YouTube now. And I hate the fact that it's the easiet site to share your videos. Oh just die already.

They took my account off for using a Prince song. I think it's just certain artists and if you post any dvd extras and stuff like that that's what I got done for anyways. Sorry to hear that Elle! What I stopped doing was putting the artist and song in the search tags then they can't find your vid

Really sorry about that! I'd hate if that happened to me! They take down all the fanvids and do nothing about the porn on there! Dumb Youtube.

Exactly! Take down all the porn and drug related stuff first, and then come to us about our copyright infringement.

I mean, it's not like we're hurting anybody. I've discovered new bands and tv shows and movies through stupid YouTube videos! We're helping these people by bringing new fans! Why can't they see that?

Ugh, that sucks your account got deleted! Youtube deleted mine like 2 weeks ago, and that was the 2nd time!
Then, today, I went to "My Videos" and next to 2 of my vids it said "contains content from third party" and then I clicked on it and they were like tracking it with "Video Identification"?! Blahhh. I will seriously cryyyyy if they delete my account again. lol

Youtube sucks..I'm on my second account and just waiting for them to close my new one down. Don't they realize fan vids are like free advertisement. I've gotten into shows and a ton of music through youtube.

GRR that sucks!!! I agree with Paul tho, limit the number of tags you use so the vid is harder to find. you could also use imeem to load ur vids if you wanted something new

whats funny with Pauls situation though is a few days after it got taken down there was some articale about how Prince was suing Youtube!

stupid Prince! But yeah just dont put the artist on the description because no one will get you for lost clips.
