As much as I'd dearly love it to be Kate he meant that he loved, I seriously doubt it. I think it's a misdirect. Or, even worse, he'll mean Kate who doesn't know how he feels before she runs off to lock lips with Jack. Then Sawyer will somehow find out about that and THEN Kate will find out he loves her but of course he despises her now so everything's all ruined...

Oy.

That's how they'd handle this in a soap opera and that's usually how a drama handles things, too. Bottom line: happy characters in love don't make good TV.

Betcha that whomever Kate ends up with first, whether it's Jack or Sawyer, it doesn't last very long and ends badly.

Man, good drama sucks, huh?

Hey, do you think it's going to become a "Lost" tradition that on the 8th or 9th episode of every season, Kate's going to give a passionate kiss to a different guy on the Island?

*line begins forming for Season 3, ep 8 or 9*

Next year, I'm thinking it'll be Locke. Ship name? Why, Late, of course!

What I think is that in his fever, Sawyer is going to mutter things only the person who Kate killed would know...which is why she freaks out and thinks about ghosts- which we know seem to exist there. Believe me, I had a RAGING fever when I had mono a few years ago (strangely enough, also in Hawaii) and I was reading MISTS OF AVALON at the time, and I had lucid dreams and I was muttering that I was convinced that I was a priestess there too...so...
